100% Agree, locking the thread until the moment it airs is a little restrictive.

Post the thread the day before, and let people post in it with their hype and expectations, then it will already be open when it airs. If you're the type of poster who hates other people's theories etc. about pending episodes, simply don't go in the thread till it airs. (Oh wait... I forgot, there are some people incapable of doing that :p) Very simple, and everyone wins. Then there is no waiting.

iTunes/amazon have been releasing the episodes at midnight lately so it would also help for those of us who get the episodes that early. I watched the last two eps at midnight but couldn't post impressions cause the thread wouldn't be open for another 11 hours. Sadly, i'm usually asleep when the thread opens so by the time I wake up the thread is already 5 pages long and a lot of what I wanted to say has been said! :p

I don't think they should be deleted. Let people express their hype and expectations for the episode, sheesh! I don't know why it bothers some people so much. We are a fanbase so let us be fans. Expectations and theories can be fun. If someone is literally spamming the thread with lots of non-contributing stuff then that can be handled on its own.

Besides, if the thread is opened 24 (or 18, 12, somewhere in there) hours before the ep airs, it does keep the level of pre-episode posts restricted some so it's not that bad.

I'm glad they are make all kinds of episodes.
Because unlike most of you I didn't enjoy last weeks episode and really enjoyed this one.
So much went down in one episode.
We've been waiting for this and yet no one likes it or thinks any of it was cool?

I liked it and thought there were some nice fight scenes in this one...I dont know why everybody loves april derp from the moment we got to see her on the nick side...she left me a lil cold, nothing spectacular I mean but still fun...
the only thing I don't like is the ol' line with the evil aliens...hasn't anyone pointed out how kooool it is that we got a nod to one of the great cartoonists in history by the name of harvey kurtzman?...anyone heard of mad magazine, guys?

if he turned out to be a utrom for real and we would finally see some benevolent extra terrestrials for a change that would be great in my oppinion...
but I liked the ep...watched it TWICE in a row...

I also really liked this episode though it seems that every time we get an episode that progresses the story and/or characters they complain about it. But when we get some filler episode like a mutant of the day or hey lets fight some random foot clan/foot soldiers, it is automatically liked.

I actually like the fillers more than the Kraang episodes. The Squirrelnoid episode was pretty good and the Fungus ep looks really interesting.

So what characters we know so far haven't had their episode aired yet? Not counting the Fungus mutant since its next week.

- Baxter fly
- Pizza face

I can't think of any others that have been announced so far that we haven't seen, other than Bebop/Rocksteady but we still don't know for sure if they'll be appearing this season.

Oh I thought it was cool, April derp was pretty fun, as well as the kraang history scrapbook. Now that I think about it, I actually like this episode a little more.

Am I the only one that thinks Metalhead will be destroyed in the upcoming "Rewired" episode?

With all the new characters coming in, there really doesn't seem to be any need for the Metalhead character anymore, seems the whole trust arc will be Donnie's brothers doubting him and will be answered when Metalhead sacrifices itself for them. It seems like another opportunity for Donnie to carry another burden in his life...

No, but its possible after Metalhead becomes intelligent that he'll become a permanent villain. Going off on his own thinking the Turtles, "enslaved" him and be a full-fledged villain.

It might go full circle. Donnie created metalhead believing that it could be a replacement weapon for his Bo Staff.

Metalhead of course was created from the remains of a Kraang droid, so naturally a Kraang recognizes it as such and takes possession of it. Kinda like a sense of irony for both parties.

Donnie is forced to not quite destroy, but certainly disable his creation to make it useless to the Kraang and the Turtles.

Ever since then Metalhead has been kept more as a somewhat helpful trophy of failure. Because even if it wasn't suitable as a weapon, it could still help Translate "Kraang-chatter" and the Kraang tech parts could be studied.

The next time we see Metalhead in action is during the finally. He is once again used as a weapon. But as a means of distracting the Kraang in the ground level. And since then Metalhead has served as a lab assistant.

However in according to the silhouetted enemy gallery, we do see metalhead among them. So it is possible that Metalhead will return to it's kraang roots. And that would mean his creator would have to be his destroyer.

I'm hoping this time there is a bro comfort moment between Raph and Donnie. Or someone other then Splinter and Donnie.

geeez if this happens poor donnie. i know some people are not a huge fan of donnie right now, with the whole april crush, but this show is putting him under a lot stress.

timothy, his responsibility, gets mutated into ooze
accidentally mutates kirby, causing april to hate him for awhile
feels responsible for every mutation from every canister
now pressured to find retromutagen for 2 people
timothy goes after april and donnie has to fight him
the girl he likes now has a new friend, of her own species
loses his last canister of mutagen, to spike, and was then pummeled(it was 3 of them but still)
and now, if this is true, he'll lose what is probably one of his proudest invention, and have it turn against him

Yeah, Donnie is getting set up for a lot of crap that's coming down the sewer pipe.

I'm hoping Raph would be the one who comforts Donnie, because he's already lost spike so he'd understand what Donnie is going through. And it also goes full circle with him as well since he was the one who gave Donnie a hard time about Metalhead as well.
