Again, having the mutants run around with their own agendas seems more logical than having them stay as captives for the Kraang to control like slaves, which would make the Kraang more of a bigger threat than they already were to begin with.

And like someone else said already, most of the mutants aren't exactly 'evil' or wish to control the world like the Kraang. They're just off doing their own thing.

Plus would it really better for them if the Kraang had their own mind controlled mutant army? Better divide then united against the turtles.

One of the best episodes of season 2, for sure. Maybe even my favorite so far! Amazing action, a tug at the heart strings, mutant rogues gallery in full view, enemies becoming friends, so much awesome wrapped up into one episode. Eager to see what will become of the friendliness between the turtles and all those (former?) villains, and if Donnie will rebuild Metalhead.

Spiderbitez would definitely benefit from becoming an ally of the Turtles. He was just a normal guy in his 50's and wasn't evil to begin with.

Not sure about Snakeweed though as he still needs humans to survive.

For reason, I find it comforting knowing if a mutant was in trouble (even if that mutant is a**hole) they would go out of their way to help and not just Mikey. It shows how they tried to be neutral when comes to everybody.

A pretty good episode. I liked it but it's not one of my favorites. I was really glad that this episode explained why so many mutants haven't been showing up again because that was starting to annoy me. I was surprised to seen Pigeon Pete, such a small character from something like episode 8. Now I wonder if all the freed mutants will be coming back with their own episodes. I'd like to see another SpiderBytes episode, he's a good character and I didn't hate Turtle Temper as much as some people did.
I did notice Leonardo was being a little mean in this episode, but he had good reasons. Mikey trying to get the Pizza Burrito out of the vending machine was the funniest part for me.
And when the turtles heard Donatello screaming after Metalhead attacked him and ran into the lab to see Donnie in the algae pool, I at first thought that it was a pool of mutagen he uses for the retro-mutagen tests. That really freaked me out.
Not very excited for Ice Cream Kitty. It looks like it just mutates and they put it in a freezer from what I saw of the preview. I wonder how that episode will get the action in.

http://markandpaigerodriguez.blogspo...metalhead.html been busy dog and cat sitting, but here's my review. I think most of my thoughts are the same, but yeah, I do believe as long as Don has his head, he can rebuild a new Metalhead with its memory intact.

Leo did come across as an over protective Asshole in this ep, but I think their is some justification. Leo has a very by the book view when it comes to Ninjitsu so in his mind Robots made from alien technology have no place it it. Particularly when said robot has been possessed by the aliens it originated from at least once in the past. And in the previous episode it was explained that Leo's greatest fear is failing to protect his brothers. So all action that seemed threatening gave him all the more proof that Metalhead was not to be trusted.

This is where Leo and Donnie tend to clash most because while Leo is more Traditional, Donnie is more innovative in that he wishes to use his skills in technology as an assist them in their fight against the Kraang and the Foot. But also as a means to benefit man kind.

It was why I wondered why they still let of the more dangerous mutant guys go. Most of them seem to leave humans alone (as far as I know) and thus are 'harmless' but with Snakeweed and likely the Squirrelenoids? It's a bit odd that they'd let a guy known to use captured humans as 'fertilizer' go loose. And the Squirrelenoids are active predators, leaving them go would be dangerous to humans as well.

That would be an illogical choice as it would make the Kraang a bigger threat than they already are. It's better just to let them out and if they do cause havoc, the turtles have it under control, but mutants allied with the Kraang would be a catastrophe. Even with all of the turtles, they couldn't stand up to the Kraang bots combined with SnakeWeed and SpiderBytez.

Well at the time they were releasing the other mutants, they didn't have an opportunity to say "This mutant is good, this mutants bad...this mutants kinda okay...I don't know do you guys think we should release him?"

If they had abandoned the mutants, or chosen to rescue those they knew were good then they would have been no better then the foot or kraang themselves. So in their mind it was better to rescue all mutants, and then deal with the dangerous ones on a later date.

I hope to see more of SpiderBytes too. I don't know how I'd feel about all these guys teaming up with the turtles on a regular basis. Some of them EG Snakeweed and Spider make interesting villains. But they do need more allies. Hoping the next time they see SpiderBytes, he's his old rude and crude self. I'm hoping everyone was working together because they were of course more angry with the Kraang than the turtles. Although I did enjoy seeing everyone united. Felt quite epic. And the vending machine bit cracked me up. It reminded me of one of my favorite Simpsons episodes, Marge on The Lam, where Homer has his own skirmish with a vending machine.

"You better snap it up Donatello, or this is gonna become a two-part episode!"

I really liked the return of the other mutants, thought that was a nice way of explaining why we haven't seen hide nor scale/leg/hair/fur/feather of them. Very much liked the Terminator shout outs.

Cute episode.
I'm seriously going to go on the hunt for a Metalhead action figure. I love his design.

You see...THIS is how you do a Kraang episode. Also, did Spider Bytez have a different voice actor? He sounded a bit different.
