2014 TMNT Figures

Really a very niche market. They are rare....BUT... you have to find someone who collects errors.

Factory errors are VERY common with the Nick series figures, so don't worry about it. It's only worth a buck or two more.

I checked out ebay, they have a few and they are generally twice as much as a "normal" figure in store. Then again people on ebay seem to charge that for "normal" figures as often as not. Maybe I will just keep the bat for awhile but keep him in the package (unlike my other figures) until I decide what to do.

My second mutagen man I tried to order is also an error except this one is missing his eyes, like the step in the manufacturing process where they got painted on has been skipped. I am returning this one on monday and hoping 3rd time is a charm.

Please let me know if I should keep it sealed (aka if it has some greater value) or just open it and add the bat to my TMNT collection (which right now is 4 turtles, april, metalhead, fishface, a couple foot soldiers, and snakeweed)

It seems that the new Nick line, factory errors are way more common then most toy lines. I suggest checking out other threads of similar issues and see what they have concluded with.

The error card collector marked is very niche of what I've seen, and eBay is not an reliable source to fact check anything for their true value, as most people will want as much as they can get from their listed items. You could off buy the error figure and try to sell it if you have the time and energy to do so, but I doubt many will pay good money for a error carded Nick figure in comparison to other toy lines.

Incorrect inserts is a fairly common error with this line and newer action figure lines in general. They are an interesting anomaly, but very few people collect them. So they don't fetch much extra money. There are plenty of people like tmntMickey23 who think they are valuable and try to sell them on ebay. But if you look at the completed auctions, they don't sell. completed TMNT auctions with "error" in the title

The Mutagen Man you got is different. It isn't a real error. There was a running change where they started painting the eyes as well as making a few other changes. (you can see both versions for comparison here) All of the new figures showing up have the eyes painted. So the unpainted version may prove to be somewhat rare in comparison.

I wonder what MM version will fetch a higher price in the future? Probably the unpainted one becuase the painted eyes version is becoming more common.

I will not bet I know they wont lol but if they did not it would be cool just like the new kraang foot ninja he has painted weapons I doubt they will paint them

I counted 7-8 different colors of paint. More then likely they will skimp on application.
