This is a little off topic, but should we be worried there has been no announcement of Season 4? They announced Season 3 early last year, so you would think we would've already heard something about Season 4, especially if if takes a whole year to complete one episode.

Season 4 won't air till Fall 2016. They're literally 2 years ahead, so they don't have to confirm it right away. They'll probably announce it sometime in 2015.

My math ain't great, but I'm pretty sure season four should be on pace for a 2015 debut.

Yeah I don't know where he got Fall 2016 from unless he expects S3 to last two years.

Do you guys think 4 seasons will round the show off? or maybe more? (i don't want the show,s quality to get worse the more it gets stretched out, although I'm sure that wont happen)

It doesn't take a whole year to make one episode, does it? I kind of doubt that...

Nickelodeon hasn't announced renewals for ANY of their shows yet, so I wouldn't worry about TMNT, specifically.

I don't remember where I read/heard this, but I think it was Ciro who said it in an interview or something that it takes a year. From coming up with the idea, writing the script, recording the voices, laying out each shot, making this sweet quality animation...

You'd be surprised.

It takes about 6-9 months to completely put a half hour episode into full CG production form. Then of even longer for everything else, (Script, voiceovers, ect.)

I remember when Toy Story came out, and it was revealed that one 30 second digital piece could take anywhere from 45 minutes up to 20 hours to create.

CG is very time consuming, but obviously the end result is amazing.

Yeah, I wouldn't want this show to be Spongebob long. Eventually it'd be time for a fourth animated series but that won't be for a while. If they reached up to eight or nine seasons, they'd probably be burned out. I'd say four or five seasons.

As long as it keeps making money (it obviously will, seeing as how successful it is now) Nickelodeon will keep it going for as long as they possibly can.

I wouldn't mind it being Spongebob long, unless the quality goes down and they lose they're creativity, just rehashing old villains and old plots. If the quality of the show stays the same, or even gets better, I definitely believe a lot of people will stick with it for the long haul. And so will Nickelodeon, as Donatello19 said. They definitely will if they're still raking in the cash.
