Should Donnie just move on from April?

This is an absolutely perfect comparison. April, like Esmerelda, can care for Don deeply, but that doesn't mean her feelings have to dip into anything romantic just because he might feel that way toward her. It doesn't make her a bad person if she falls for someone else, nor does it make Phoebus (or Casey) a bad person because he likewise fell in love. It also proves that Don isn't UNlovable just because of the way he looks, but that he now knows it's possible to continue searching for someone else who will return the same types of feelings.

It makes way more sense to me than the whole "Beauty and the Beast" angle that a lot of fans like push in any case. Can't stand my favorite fairy tale being twisted in such a way.

With everything that has happened to April's dad and April herself, you know just based on Donnie's character that if he told her now during everything that has happened to her would be like he was taking advantage of her when she's vulnerable. Wow. So April has to stop being a loving friend to Donnie because he wants to bone her and it's her fault for making him continue to feel that way? This is the same line of reasoning as, "She enticed me to rape her." Make it all the girl's fault. We have to cover up. We have to be on guard 24/7 with our actions just to prevent a guy from being/staying interested in us. Fantastic.

I don't think it's completely her fault........but if a guy likes a girl and the girl DOESN'T like them that way, then it's best for the girl to care for the friend but make sure not to lead him on in any way, which means you have to sacrifice somethings sadly.....like friendly hugging and kissing him.

it's cool to hang out with him, but make it known through body language you aren't interested.

I had a guy friend and had to do the same thing......it sucked....but if I didn't do it, I'd have to reject him to his face which would have been awkward....it's best they know silently.

if April isn't willing to do that for Donnie's sake....I think she either
1) actually likes him
2) is leading him on

I don't understand how rejecting someone to their face is MORE awkward than not being able to be yourself around that person. They should either accept you for who you are and learn how to deal with emotions/feelings or find new friends.

Then why isn't April 'being herself' to the other Turtles? She just seems to single Don out the most to be overly-affectionate towards. She's basically's Don's not-girlfriend at this point. Why doesn't she give the other Turtle nicknames? Why doesn't she call the other Turtles unless it's a super emergency where she calls all four?

I have to admit, I had a small crush on a girl that did act all huggy, sweet, nicknamey, and affectionate towards me. Hey, I thought she was interested and maybe I had a shot. Then we went for a group outing with all her friends and I noticed she acted with the exact same kind of sweetness and huggy-ness with everyone else, the male friends included. So yeah, I kinda got the hint by myself that I wasn't really anyone special or whatever, it's the just the way she acted towards everyone. Kinda sucked, but I moved on.

April needs to tone it down around Don or 'spread the love' the other Turtles.
