TMNT OT Bebop & Rocksteady, Good Guys?

So I've just finished watching the original TV show from start to finish, but didn't come across an episode that I remembered as a child. I always remembered an episode when Bebop and Rocksteady decided they were sick of being the bad guys and tried to be good guys with the turtles for the episode. Of course the turtles were skeptical, and of course by the end of the episode they were villains again, but I didnt come across the episode while watching the entire series from start to finish. Am I delusional, or did this ever actually happen in an episode? Maybe I had the idea when I was a kid and I'm remembering it as an entire episode. Does anyone else recall this?

There's an episode where Shredder kicks them out, i think that's the one you are thinking about. I can't seem to find it...

You sound like you're thinking of the superhero episode, "Rhino Man and Mighty Bebop" where they pretended to be superheroes to get a diamond for Shredder and Krang.

only thing i remember that is close to this is the one where everyone tries to be a superhero cause some wealth dude offers up a huge diamond to the winner of this super hero contest. its the one were rocksteady and bebop become rhino man and mighty hog.

could also be that you are remembering pieces of different episodes and peicig them together. shredder thinks he is mikey one episode and helps the turtles and they are skeptical. bebop and rocksteady are sick of being pushed around by shredder and krang in lots of episodes so might be construed as no longer wishing to be bad guys. i'm pretty sure there is an episode or 2 where they have to work together to get out of somewhere.

i have watched every episode of the OT though i don't recall an episode exactly like you describe though.

I have some caps (well, this one is all I can find at the moment) of a team-up but I can't remember what episode it is.

I am pretty certain that there's an episode where shredder gets fed up with them and kicks them out on the street, but then i again i might be imagining that i imagine a lot of things sometimes I wish to God that someone would be able to block out the voices in my head for five minutes, the voices that scream, over and over again: "Why do they come to me to die? Why do they come to me to die?"

Hmm, I remember the one where Shredder locks them in a room in the technodrome (possibly garbage room, bebop and rocksteady use tables and other objects to climb to the top and escape when they think shredder is in trouble) for the entire episode.

I remember the one where they become superheroes, that’s not it either.

I also remember when shredder thinks he’s mikey, that’s when shredder was making all of the holographic mikeys (I crave pizza no more?)

Powders picture is (I believe) the episode where Leonardo leaves to go help out the dinosaurs who send out the distress signal without telling anyone, and when shredder finds out, he sends rocksteady and bebop, who has a holographic projection of Leonardo as a disguise on, out to cause havoc and give the turtles a bad name/distract them so he and krang can get the power source the dinosaurs have.

The scene I’m thinking of in particular is in the sewers, bebop and rocksteady actually fight foot soldiers and help the TMNT in the sewers. It is after this fight, that they decide to become villains again

The one where Bebop and Rocksteady get thrown in that locked room hole is "Night of the Rogues" and when Michaelangelo said "I crave pizza no more", that's "Cowabunga Shredhead".

Hope this helps.

I also remember an episode from my childhood that doesn't exist, I asked in the drome and everyone told me I was remembering different episodes but those weren't it, and finally when I watched every episode of the OT, I didn't see it either.

I remember it very well, Channel 6 was having some type of costume party and the turtles were happy because they went as themselves, Thompson was there and eventually some skeletons come out of a pirate ship I think that was inside the party for decoration I think.

Maybe I'm confusing it with another "mutant" show like Street Sharks or whatever but I don't think so since I specifically remember thompson, and i'm sure the turtles going out at a costume party as themselves was done in the OT right? hmmm...maybe it was a superhero show? Spider-man and Mysterio? and Jonah Jameson?

? and Jonah Jameson?
But this did happen. The Turtles went as themselves to Channel 6's Halloween party and Burne Thompson won the competition as an Aardvark.

Seems like you remember part of the episode but the part of the skeletons didn't happen.

That could actually be a few things that I remember off the top of my head, in addition to the one mentioned above. In, I believe, "April Fool" (Season 3), the Turtles are mistaken for wearing costumes at a costume party April is attending.

In "Raphael Meets His Match" (the Mona Lisa episode), Raph also boards a cruise ship party "in costume" as himself.

ya i thought it sounded like he was mixing those two episodes. though they aren't attacked by skeletons in "Raphael meets his match" they are attacked by mutant sea barnacles (or something similar)

I think you might be confusing two episodes with one another. The channel 6 costume party is from "Super Irma", but the pirate ship may be from "Raphael Meets His Match".

There was an episode titled "The Foot Soldiers are Revolting" where after being fired by Shredder, Bebop and Rocksteady found themselves stuck on Earth after a rogue Foot Soldier named Alpha-1 took over the Technodrome, so the mutant thugs had to team up with the Turtles to stop the Foot Soldiers.

That's actually from the episode "Leonardo is Missing", though that's Bebop holographic-ally disguised to look like Leo.

Late, but sounds like it could've been the ep where the Footsoldiers revolted. One of them was really brainy and Bebop and Rocksteady worked with the Turtles for that ep but turned at the end.
