Interesting, If that is the case, What will Karai mutate into?

Given how the Nick series takes liberties by just using the name of certain mutants. I wouldnt be surprise if Karai turned into some mutated Lizard, And Mikey just calls her... Mona Lisa.

Or maybe she turns into mutant Snow Fox and Mikey calls her... Alopex.

Who knows.

Mikey is known to come up with names right off the bat, So dont be surprise if he throwns in a name that is a reference to past characters.

I really hope that Karai email is a fake created by a troll. I would not be a fan of them mutating Karai at all.

The writers are well aware there are some human characters you don't change into mutants, like April, Casey, Karai or Shredder.

Aside from pulling a Super Shredder type deal, I don't see these 4 ever becoming animal mutants. Same for Irma.

Well, I'm sure people also didn't expect April to be part Alien/Part Krang/Part whatever she is when the series first started, but it happened. They could easily turn one of them for 1 or 2 episodes into a mutant and then get changed right back.

Just like I'm sure when the 2003 cartoon started, people didn't expect Shredder to be an Utrom alien underneath (which I didn't mind because I thought it worked for the show's storyline, and I thought the Shredder was still intimidating and a worthy, physical foe regardless of that), but that happened too.

If not Karai, do you have a guess regarding who Shredder wants to mutate (at the end of today's episode)?

No, I think Irma's one of those characters that could easily be mutated. She seems like she'll be really nosy in this series and therefore getting herself captured or in various scrapes.

Also the mutation doesn't necessarily have to be permanent.

I don't want them to mutate Karai but sounds like it's going to happen...

What if the person Shredder wants mutated next ep is Karai and not B&R as so many have been speculating? In any case looks like we have a TON of mutants in our future.

I love mutants, but there is something to be said about overkill... I mean the turtles are mutants... it's part of what makes them special. If you have 50 mutants suddenly appearing over two seasons then they aren't all that special anymore.

When Ciro gave his presentation at comic con before Season 1 came out he outlined some of the core ideas in TMNT that makes it unique for his interpretation of the series: brotherhood, mutants, ninjas, dimension x... those are the 4 he talked about as being key, and I agreed with him.

So far we are seeing LOTS of mutants, a fair amount of brotherhood... but not a whole lot of the other two. Let's see more ninjas and more aliens!

Still, I do feel they are carefully and slowly building things. Like in the baxterfly episode we got the detail about April being immune to mutagen. It seems like a small thing, but they drop stuff like that in episodes all the time. And we gradually start putting pieces together. So even in the episodes that feel like a "mutant of the week" entry there is world building going on. I like that. Sometimes i feel like they should have more variation in the episodes, that's all. I love ninja stuff... really want to see more of that.

Like, I totally want Ciro to go back and cherrypick some stuff from those hardcore Ninja films from the 70s and 80s that inspired TMNT in the first place! Do a full on ninja episode that feels like it was plucked right out of "American Ninja", "Revenge of the Ninja" or something like that

Wonder how "Newtralized" will go when Raph & Casey go up against Slash & Newtralizer.

Wish Slash would change his ways and views about Raph's brothers. Wonder if Casey can try to communicate with him with his problems. Slash probably won't forgive Raph for what he did to him with that technique he used and caused him to stumble and fall off a building.

Oh gosh, I'm being a brainless yutz today. It's the Newtralizer one.

I wonder if Newtie will be giving Slash some of his spare Kraang weapons or armor? Slash might need it if he is to survive against the Kraangs' weaponry.
