Bebop and Rocksteady from the new Show - Page 9

I'm glad Shredder is responsible for their mutations. The Kraang haven't really seemed interested in mutating things on purpose sans the planet itself. haha Seems like the only one we know they intentionally mutated was TigerClaw. Shredder appears more interested in playing around with the ooze, so I'm glad he has a hand in B and R's mutations once again.

They re-use character models in CG all the time. It doesn't mean its those particular human character.

The mutation turning his hair purple wouldn't be too out of the question when you compare all the other whacked-out bs the other characters have. They really don't have much reason to waste time on 2 new models that they'll probably only use for half an episode.

Here's what I'm hoping:

1. Rahzar gets a hold of Donnie's next batch of RetroMutagen

2. Instead of turning in to Bradford he de-mutates back into DogPound. DogPound surmises he should get more to fully de-mutate back into Bradford

3. This then causes more RetroMutagen hunt/chase scenes episodes

4. Shredder and Baxter create the new Bebop and Rocksteady

5. BEBOP & ROCKSTEADY vs. DOGPOUND & FISHFACE!!! (Hell, that's what I'm gonna do when the figures come out...;p)

6. As a result one of the teams becomes a turtle ally.
...or Shredder just gets a bigger army. Can't really decide.

I 100% agree with you, and also all 4 of them vs all 4 of the turtles. Nice even number battles for once!

There is no way Fon and the other guy will turn into the iconic Bebop and Rocksteady. Ciro has respect for the source material.

I'd rather see Bebop & Rocksteady as gang members mutated after running into a zoo.

Plus instead of being recruited into the Foot, they are recruited into the Purple Dragons. Though the Shredder hires the P.D.s as mercenaries.

Like the designs, and can't wait to see the CG models.

Just wonder how this is all going to work out with fish face and rahzar, oh and Baxter fly and Karai, and tiger claw...shredders going to have a lot of minions, most ofthem, potentially all of them if he does in fact mutate Karai, mutants.

For the people complaining about this series just being an updated 80s cartoon, it's not at all. Yes they re use certain things from it, I actually think it's one of the best parts of the show, but its it's own show. If you let the little things taken from the 80s show influence your entire view of this one, you're missing out on all the great new things.

It amazes me that people are complaining about this. They're adding back two well-known villains from a previous series, villains that people basically begged to have in this series.and now that they're here new people are just as upset that they're coming. This show cannot please everyone with every decision they make, so why don't you try and let a few things go and instead focus on a few things that you've really liked it this show.

Well some of it is that this show is looking too much like the 80s show, and not trying to be it's own thing.

I don't mind Bebop and Rocksteady, if it adds something to the show and doesn't come off merely as a nostalgia wank. But otherwise to have those two there only as a nostalgia wank and just to please the 80s fans, comes across as incredibly annoying.

Oooooh yeah! I like that too...! Some one-on-one battles (Raph vs. Fishface, Donnie vs. Bebop etc.) would be cool...

So do I, but I don't think that's a problem. It's a modern spin on the 80's show which everyone is really nostalgic for. It's all good in my books.

They have gotten really, really lazy with this designs, i don't know if it's a lower budget or something but season 2 mutants are all bland and uninteresting. Baxter is a living proof, but seriously, look at these guys, they look like crap...

Right because Bebop and Rocksteady being mutant gang members is so far off from their original incarnation.

It's not like we didn't see changes in the backstories of characters like Rat King, Karai, Mutagen Man, Slash, and Rahzar.

Except that the Purple Dragon characters aren't actual "characters," they were essentially background characters for the Turtles to beat up when Xever was still with them. That's why after the early part of Season 1 they started appearing less and less.

Likewise since there's 3 of them its obvious they can't be Bebop/Rocksteady, because what is the third human guy going to do? Bebop/Rocksteady would not become a trio of mutants and they wouldn't just leave one stand-alone human either.

I'm confident we haven't seen Bebop/Rocksteady's human forms in the show yet.

Cool design overall but IMO I wish bebop was more bulkier and had a purple beard and sideburns to go with the hawk lol.

You make some good points but I wouldn't be surprised if they did. This series definitely seems to have a habit of creating new characters only to have them turn into existing characters later.
