Considering how many times Karai has failed Shredder's orders to kidnap April, I'd say he thinks she probably deserves a makeover.

I hope that Shredder was talking about himself. The thought of Super Shredder makes more sense to me for for this series than regular Shredder does.

MAybe he's not going to mutate an existing character at all. Maybe he just has some kind of animal in mind.

I half joking made comments in the past about Karai being mutated into a female turtle. I'm starting to think that's actually a real possibility.
Possibly as a punishment, and an act of vengeance towards Yoshi.
The dual meaning in her mutation may be to good to pass up. We shall see.

It might befitting to turn her into some kind of snake mutant since rats are often what pet owners feed their pythons.

Splinter had originally planned on giving the fan that April now uses to Miwa.

One of Venus' main weapons was a fan ...

Not sure I like where this is going, but replacing Venus with Karai would solve about 80% of the problems with Venus.

Aren't IDW created characters and Nick created characters exclusive to their respective universes? I've read that Nick doesn't want them crossed.

Yeah, they won't. If that was the case I'm sure Old Hob would be the first IDW mutant to appear in Nick anyway if it ever happened.

I'm all for Karai. I want the show the have the balls to mutate a human character that was never mutated in previous media, since they already had April immune to it. And yes, I know April was mutated a ka-zillion times before... but I would have wanted to be for a few episodes before they cured her.

Super Shredder sounds unlikely. There's no reason he'd just turn into Kevin Nash Bane with mutation. He'd had to turn into some kind of monster or freak.

Or go the Kirby route and spend almost 2 seasons on it.

And watch how Karai will blame Splinter/The Turtles even when she knows that it was Shredder who mutated her.

I don't know if I'm the only one who thought this but my guess is this might be a double cross. Shredder wants one more mutation (possibly Karai) but stockman decides to make his own mutants that he originally planned on making (Bebop & Rocksteady). So Bebop and Rocksteady end up being Stockman's lackeys.

Never did think of that, bu now that I consider it... imagine the possibilities.

Two dim-witted yet very powerful mutants created and controlled a character who is capable of planning and thinking carefully, yet succumbing to his new nature as a fly, and losing his mind as time goes on. It'd be an interesting character relationship and a new threat altogether.

Then again, with the Shredder ending off an episode with the whole "I have one more mutant I want you to create" dialogue, I doubt they'd have it not happen simply due to Baxter's betrayal.

Mona Lisa also feels too similar to newtralizer for my tastes.

I still want her to be Alopex. I know her origin is different in IDW and they are separate characters there, but it feels like a fit to me. It wouldn't be the first time they have changed the backstory of a mutant. The most obvious example being Slash who has no fewer than four origins: OT, archie, IDW and Nick.

Of course my real preference is for Karai (non-mutated) and Alopex to both be in the Nick universe and be separate characters... so if she's not Alopex, I'm still holding out for her.
