I dont now if this is a joke thread or not but if Donnie and April where to ever have a kid. I say Donnie would likely make it. Aka a test tube baby of some sort or artificial inseminatio. All so Donnie will likely mass with his DNA a bit so the kid look a bit more normal.

With all the thing he have been doing with Ooze of let I will not be surprise if he could do some thing like this.

Nope, not a joke. It's a serious discussion of what would/could actually happen in such a situation.

He'd almost HAVE to do some sort of test-tube artificial insemination, along with tinkering with the DNA just to make it viable. Otherwise, the clash of reptile/human metabolisms and body functions (both turtles and humans each have organs the other lacks) and the difference in reproduction methods would cause it to miscarry for certain. Assuming he could even impregnate anyone to begin with.

As for him trying to make the child look more normal, I'm suddenly reminded of an episode of Star Trek: voyager where Be'lanna and Tom were going to have a baby and she tried to have the Doctor alter the child's DNA to be more human due to her own worries about having been teased for being half Klingon when she was a child. It didn't go well.

If we are getting that serious about it, I doubt Donatello or any of the Turtles would even dare to have their own genetic children with any humans or other species. Their normal physiological, mental, and sentient states are already achieving infinitesimal odds and no one more than Donatello would know that. All biological DNA consists of a quaternary form of code, with the nucleosides: adenine, guanine, cytosine, and thymine and from that, is able to form fathomless forms of three-dimensional biological complexity for a sentient being with numerous physiological systems.

There would be many far too many genetic "rejects" (similar to April Derps) before there would be a fully sentient, normally healthy offspring between any the Turtles with a human, if there was any type of test-tube fertilization. In addition, the huge issue of bioethics would be applicable here.

The Turtles' existence is already an unprecedented, bizarre amalgamation of genetics that humans and Utroms would have to fully study since the Turtles are already a unique form of species, in order to scientifically grasp how these Turtles exist. I just don't think any of the Turtles would have the heart to be that cruel to constantly test fertilized embryos (and could they discard them if they weren't optimal? ...Where the issue of bioethics comes to play), just so they could selfishly have their own "genetic" children. In addition, this same heavily-weighted issue would apply to their genetic children since technically their genetic children would be another unique form of species as well.

My thoughts on this are that any embryos that are not "optimal" (I guess you mean physically acceptable) would probably not survive anyway. Given their unique genetics, any potential offspring would most likely be severely deformed in most cases, and only a very few would prove viable at all. Even those might have physical problems that might cause them to be short-lived or seriously handicapped.

Don would probably test his theories on mutated cells before even considering trying to do any kind of insemination, and I'm sure he wouldn't simply be using them as test subjects. I just don't see him being that callous.

I don't see the turtles having genetic clones in place of children. I mean that would essentially be playing god, which are levels Donnie may not want to reach.

In all likelihood they are all more likely to adopt or meet up with some unfortunate who was mutated or just rejected by human society and train them in the ninja arts so they have someone to pass their skills too.

See as this is not a joke thread.
Then another thing I wish to bring up is maybe the TMNT world(I now it is so post be earth but there is some big diffident) is sort of D&D like. What I mean about that is you can mix all most any race and still get a kid. From thing like humanXdwarf and humanxelf to weird things like humanXgaints even humanxdragons.

I now this is a lot diffident then Tmnt world but this is sort of hard for me to see why not. I dont think it help that I read a lot of DC and Marvel comic when I was little. So if some super hero that was not human had a thing for some normal I never thought about it.

All so with so much ooze and aliens running around in most TMNT worlds. I will be surprise if in 20 or 30 years no one will be surprise of a little kid with green skin and three finger hands and three toe feet.I'm still trying to think why ever one not a little worry about what happen at the end of season 1.

I love your D&D analogy, but as an avid tabletop gamer since the early 80s, I feel the need to clarify a point.
You can have half elves, half orcs, hell even demon human, dragon human, or angel human hybrids, but anything a dwarf mates with gives birth to a dwarf.
It also proves a very important point... Most species/races have class, but a human will sleep with anything.

It could work, but this thread was getting serious , yet ... I'm sure there's going to be some deeper residing resentment toward the four, original male Turtles upon realizing that these four male Turtles created their sentient awareness and mutant forms, just so they could be primarily used for mating.

Yes it's possible to dump mutagen on a female turtle. However the original turtles had human DNA be it Hamato Yoshi, the nameless kid who was their original owner, or whoever handled them at the pet shop.

So simply dumping mutagen on a random female turtle could result in a female version of Slash if anything.

Well it depends. Yes if female turtles were created for the soul purpose of being f*** buddies with the Turtles, that would cause some problems. It's like saying a female has no other reason to exist aside from being a walking baby factory.

Creating female counterparts to the Turtles who may eventually become love interests is another story.

Another problem is that Turtles don't mate for life, so how do we know none of the Turtles won't have a roving eye?

Turtles don't bond with their siblings or adopt rats as fathers either.

After years of fighting turtles would eventualy realize that they need somebody to carry on their legacy so they would have to...

I just love how people can't think of the turtles wanting to get some without throwing compatability and babies and blah blah. I assume eventually in a more realistic non-cartoon 'would someone please think of the children' world, the turtles would want to get some... you know... for the sake of getting laid at all. I really doubt any of you were already planning father/motherhood the very first time any of you actually got some.

I can honestly see Raph or someone with some girl of any kind saying 'yeah... how bout we just get it on now... and then let Donnie figure out all the compatability DNA science crap later'.

Given they're different species and would probably date outside their kind, I would think they would be more concern with interspecies STDs then getting some pregnant.

Aren't humans the only species with STDs? I never really heard of a cat giving herpes to the neighbor's cat.

Animals have their share of STD/STI's just as humans have.

What I meant was getting certain diseases like salmonella. Sex isn't impossible but you would have to take certain precautions just like how it was in Mass Effect.
Stuff like taking a shower, taking antibiotics for the human, and of course wearing protection. But of course that under the assumption that the parts fit properly.
