Its not like he runs up to it and smashes it with his bare hands dude. He is throught while traveling down the mountain and a very high speed, he Does a flip(very acrobatic) and connects with his shell, If a normal turtle shell can with stand over 2,900 pounds of pressure, then th increase size increase its strength relative to its size. they are Invulnerable but there shells are very strong.

And go back and re-watch 2k3 raph does alot of physical thing heck Mikey takes on a 8' tall alien gladiator

Yes, Raphael in the 2k3 show did physical things. But nothing even remotely in the same vein of this Raphael Killing a Humvee like a Transformer or an Incredible Hulk would do.

And Yes...Mikey took on and beat a Tall, alien gladiator by using his Martial Arts Skills because he is a Trained Ninja.

So how does that help with your argument?

My point was is he doesn't Do anything even hulk related AS he slide down the mountain at a high speed is thrown ever faster then flips( like a ninja would) making contact with his shell a shell that can with stand exponentially more then 2,900 pounds of pressure which an average turtle can. This is not a fully armored hummer nor is it ripped in half

That scene doesn't need defending, it's just awesome and nothing out of the ordinary for TMNT. Your just mad because we haven't seen any real ninjutsu moves portrayed so far!

I still remember when Raphael threw Traximus in the Battle Nexus while being simultaneously grappled by him. Now that was BS.

The Foot had ray guns back in the 80's.. not one peep about that though. But sense it's Bay lets throw it out lol. This is the 21st century and imho I think they look the way Foot SOLDIERS should. A ninja IS a mercenary.
Most of the turtles stories take place in modern day New York, and I never heard anyone complain about the Foot using ninja weapons. Even the Fred Wolf Foot had ninja weapons in the old toon in addition too their ray guns. Hell it makes no sense why the turtles would use ancient martial arts weapons against soldiers with modern arms. We might as well give them guns too because Raph used them in bodycount.

The bug-eyed Foot is so unique, I think it'd would have been a great add-on to a movie franchise of having very recognizable enemies, like the Stormtroopers in Star Wars. The PD Foot Soldiers, look very generic military, save the grimy kabuki mask. Even the Foot Soldier action figure looks like a generic soldier GI Joe toy.
I'm doing my best to keep an open mind on many aspects of this film, but the military foot is something that I have absolutely zero patience for. I freely admit, I understand why some people like the concept/why they feel it makes sense. I understand that Bay has his audience, and I'm definitely not here to rag on anyone for liking Bay.

Myself, I am not a Bay fan - not because I think it's somehow cool to hate on him; I'm just not his target audience. His movies aren't the kind of thing that I usually watch. That doesn't make me any more right or wrong than anybody here.

That being said, I find it frustrating when any filmmaker starts repeating themselves to the point of caricature. There's a difference between having a distinctive style, and just sticking things into your movies because you like them, regardless of whether it's appropriate for the project. There's a reason why I haven't enjoyed a Tim Burton film in a long time - because as much as audiences do like familiar things, it's a fine line. Edward Scissorhands was a masterpiece, but eventually I am going to get tired of every project having Danny Elfman, Helena Bonham Carter, Johnny Depp and curliques, with absolutely no variation.

Yes, it's Bay's movie, it's Bay's money and he can put whatever he wants into it. The fact remains that I would have zero interest in this project if it weren't Turtles-related, and I'm not looking forward to sitting through the military stuff to get to the Turtles parts. It's not that I don't enjoy the military being in films - Aliens is one of my all time favourite movies - Bay's jarheads just don't work for me personally as characters or plot devices.

And I know he's "just a producer" - let's just agree to disagree on this one; my partner's an indie filmmaker so while that doesn't make me a genius on the subject of filmmaking, I'm well aware of exactly how much influence directors and producers have over their projects.

TL;DR - I don't like the way Bay has to put the military into every single movie he does.

Probably this'll kick off another round of kvetching, but it's just my two cents. *shrugs*

Throwing another fighter during a one on one fight is the same as destroying a Hummer?

We agree to disagree then.

I think its pretty far out of the ordinary really. its actually quite ridiculously over the top. that hummer might as well have been my hope of enjoying this movie

I know what you mean. when I read the blue door the military foot was one of the main things that kept from believing it was real at first because it seemed like such a parody of what bay would do to a tmnt film. imagine my surprise to find out he actually went and did it. I felt like heston at the end of planet of the apes

with the shell that large it would add mass to turtles from the height that he fell, the added muscle mass all add up to something very heavy and bricks are that hard to break for martial artist

^^^

Which kind of goes against the who stealth thing if they can't perform an action like that without damaging their surroundings.

Of course as I've pointed out this will conveniently not happen when the script doesn't call for them to. Just like Mike's chains wont jangle or Raph's shades wont fall off his head; that's just the magic of these things not being real.

However it still seems wrong.

I can't recall an instance of it. In fact I'm willing to go out on a limb and say it's never happened in the franchise before this.
