Heck, this year movies, no matter their success, aren't standing at #1 for two weeks in a row.

I suspect X-Men will, but I'm not aware of any competition this weekend for it.


Lucy has the name power. I mean, without titles if you asked people "Movie with ScarJo and Morgan Freeman" vs "Movie with Tony Shaloub and Johnny Knoxville" I think I know which will win. But Lucy is just its own film, stand alone and new. TMNT is still a brand and carries the "yeah, we can take the kids to this" thought process of parents. It's a smart move to pull Lucy from opening head to head with TMNT.

Every ticket not in your film is a ticket not in your box office!

Are you suggesting that Lucy has more name power than TMNT? That more people will be more familiar with a title like " Lucy " than " Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" ?I'm not so sure. Yea ScarJo is an awesome actress and so is Morgan Freeman and the movie looks great but.. I wouldn't call it just yet.. and I don't mean to offend anyone by saying so..
