i was going to stay away, i was going to keep my mouth shut till august..but honestly how can people be ok with this as promo? how can you defend the choice behind color swatches? this isnt cool or edgy, or minimalistic,this is lazy of the laziest

someone went to walmart and got color swatches and their numbers and posted them

and this is some form of official image? please someone explain how this is selling a movie?

you beat me to it...these are not codes...they are color id's for paint..you take it to home depot, lowes,walmart or sears give em that number and they make that color for you

When I first saw that...I was ticked off. Once again, something un impressive and not exciting.

However, I was also confused. What does it mean? And having some hidden code ... hmm, there may be more to this than meets the eyes. The secrets dwell in the shadows, or in this case, the colors.

Hoping this is more than just ... something that's nothing (if you get what I mean). Let's all try to figure out this code, Technodromers! Let's crack it (if there's anything to crack).

I get that but i cant find Raph and Donnies codes anywhere Leo and mikeys are on Pantone Pluss what are the colors "names" they much mean Something why just release paint colors for no reason pluss the purple blue and orange all have layers and lines running through it

i was prepared to give them the benefit of the doubt - i got excited thinking these were there lab assignment codes when they were being experimented on...but nope...BOSTON was right. they are swatch/color codes.

the promo images are getting lazier, and lazier.

Hah, it's not. I had similar thing to this when i scraped my car and needed to repaint it, it's just the code for the paint...

Amen. Makes me start to question ... if they put this much thought into marketing, how much thought did they put into this film? If they put out this type of 'quality' marketing, what kind of 'quality' will be put behind the film?

It might mean eather 15 or 45 or ranging from 15 to 45, that's nothing important...

oh those lines....you mean the dash.......those lines mean its more of a mixed color..they have to take whatever 93 is and 15u mix them and you get that purple as opposed to buying a premade paint color like the blue or orange

"raph" is the same ...it looks like 15u is the base paint and 93 and 55 are what you add to get the right color

What I'm saying is that they could have gotten better people to do the marketing. If they are signing off and approving of this marketing, if they're fine with this being the way they sell their film, I'm not sure how much 'faith they have in the film', as many like to say.

I've had faith that they've had faith, but now I'm losing my faith that they have faith and are faithfully working on this film with faith.

Well I can't blame you lol.. I don't think it is indicative of a low quality movie.. at all. I think they are just putting out a minimalistic **** picture to kill time before releasing something more significant.. like a trailer. But I am starting to lose patience. I thought the marketing for Spiderman looked desperate.. It was way to much.. but they obviously had faith in their product so.. Apes has had little marketing also.. and they are even closer to release than TMNT. With every movie I've seen this year the Marketing always picks up the month of release.. We are still two months out.. So I don't think that this one little picture means that they have little faith in the film. If this is the kind of **** we get in July then I think that could be saying something. I don't think Paramount would spend 130 million bucks on a film and then just.. let it go down the drain. I think there are some really cool things coming. I just think this is a ridiculous picture.

It's true, a film can be great and have horrible marketing. Or vice versa. I'm just not sure why they put out stuff like this, I think I may prefer nothing at all.

And I don't doubt that we'll see a pick up in marketing soon. I'm pretty sure they will. But as you said, one still of Shredder would be a good way to intrigue people in the time being, not ... paint colors.

nothing more can be said about this crap. As an ellite enthusist for this film it not only gives this films marketing a bad name but people who is positive for this film a bad name as well and this is ****ing ridiculous that this late in the game they would put **** like this out. And the thing is, the marketing team is setting back getting their 7 goddamn chuckles in for the day collecting their paychecks for this crap laughing all the way to the bank. I agree... yea it's a **** picture.. but it's not that late in the game.. Like I said before Marketing for any movie usually picks up the month of release.. I mean Age of extinction is going to make stupid amounts of money, but yet they haven't had crazy marketing yet.. and it's less than a month away. That's Paramount's money bag lol. I just think they put out minimalistic **** lately. It's an insult to us TMNT enthusiast.. It has to be the Facebook guy.. I think the four weapons posters were official.. but not this ****..
