2014 TMNT Figures

Sorry that you could not find any man. They should be hitting your stores within a week I assume. It shouldn't take that long to ship them all over the country after they start hitting the coasts.

Anyway I think I will just wait and go try to get some Monday morning, since they are keeping them in the back and have THREE cases at each store I don't feel rushed...

Maybe if Splinter wasn't such an ugly figure I might want to go get him faster

I'm not even sure which ones I will buy. 100% buying Raph. I will probably get Shredder too. Plus Splinter and Foot simply due to their 1 per case rarity, I don't want to have trouble getting them in the future. I will wait and see on the other 3 brothers, clearly they are overpacking them and I don't think they will be hard to find what so ever.

Hey it's not your fault but I appreciate your sympathy! Seems like either we get things early or we are dead last here in the midwest. Anyways if I were you I would go on the off chance that one of those cases contain either April or undercover raph. I don't think there will be a second wave of figures or more added to the set and I am really curious just how short packed those two will be. You have six cases pretty close to you and to have first dibs meaning you will see if the ratios are all the same. I would say of out of those 6 if there isn't a UC raph or April that there will then be a second wave.

No I had went down to target today trying to get the van but they couldn't find anything. I gave them the dpci for the basic figures and they couldn't even find those for some strange reason but then they started trying different numbers at the end basically from 1-9 and only the deluxe and 11" figures came up so I bought Leo and Raph in the 11" and Mikey in the deluxe.

Hey right now Target is selling them only some targets though. My target has them I called them today. and July 6 is when stores are allowed to put them on shelves stores like Wal-Mart Toysrus. Happy to help

Found the new figures at Target in my area, Middle Tennessee, they were nice enough to let me take my fill. Unfortuantely, 80% of the figures had bad packaging. I only purchased Donnie, Mikey, Raph, and Shredder. I really wanted to get the whole set, but soon enough. Lastly, there was no sign of April or Undercover Raph.

I actually live really close to Riverside (Mira Loma to be exact). What Target did you find the basic figures in? Did they give you a hard time about selling them before the reset? I have two Targets near my place, but if the Target you got yours in sold you the basics with no problem, I wanna check them out first. Thanks in advance!

I can't answer for him, but I can speak from experience.

I have had stores that won't sell to me if the product is not yet shelved. Even if the box has no street date, sometimes the person won't do it.

So just cross your fingers, ask very nicely and hope for the best. Not much else you can do.

Here is some advice I would give you... if you see multiple employees near toys, ask the youngest employee. I have better luck with young employees that look less experienced. Worst case scenario, they will just ask someone higher up the ladder if they aren't sure if they can do it or not.

Also look for someone who seems friendly. Some employees are just assholes to anyone who appears to be a "collector" probably because they suspect you are scalper or reseller -- which I most definitely am not. Still, you can't overcome the bias if they believe you are one.

Anyway I already specifically asked if breaking out the case would be a problem and they said no, that the products have no hard date so it should be easy for them to let you look through the case. Sadly just because one person tells you this is no guarantee of what will happen when you get there.

One last thing... please, PLEASE do not be greedy. You're not the only TMNT fan who is going to want these, adult, kid or otherwise. It might not be illegal or against store policy for you to go into a store and buy 2x or 3x of every figure before the reset date, but it's not very thoughtful either. It's not like stores get new figs every few days. If you cleared them out it could be weeks before they got more in. That's just my feelings on it.

Getting figures before "release" is a privilege so let us, as a community, not abuse it.

Thanks for the advice sir! I'm currently at work, but before I read this post, I was going straight to Target after I clocked out. Now, I'll wait until my son is with me so they know that I'm not some scalper but just a fan who wants to buy a set of the new Turtles with his boy.

The last time I tried to pull "back room" stuff was when the Battle Shells first came out. The kid who hit me up was more than happy to help me search using the DPCI and found a case...BUT, her next answer was "it says we have them, but they should already be out there." I was too sheepish to ask her to dig around the back for me since she had already spent the better part of 15 minutes tapping through the inventory on her little handset.

Once again, thanks for the heads up. I'll let you know by tomorrow if I was successful

I find making friends with the local employees at the stores I frequent helps in me getting info I wouldn't get normally. Frequent customers I had at Walmart in toys I would help find something like certain Star Wars figures because they struck a conversation and were friendly. Some others would just demand things like Hot Wheels and never tried to be there for anything but for what they came for. Befriend your local retailer's employees and they will never think twice about helping you.
