Official Episode Discussion S2 #19 "The Wrath of Tiger Claw""

This is one of those episodes that not only lives up to the hype, it surpasses it.

It addressed so many issues people have had with the show for a while now.

Mikey was taken seriously.

Karai was proven to not just be a love interest. She had a full range of emotions, she fought convincingly as her own warrior, not just a female trying to fight 'like a man'. She was someone that a little girl could look up to. I'm no feminist, but that was refreshing and enjoyable for me. And I think a lot of women/girl fans will like it for that same reason.

The fight scenes were absolutely epic.

Plus I like how they reused a lot of old locations, but mixed them with different props/camera angles to make them seem brand new?

I think the humanoid at the bottom with a space helmet and visor could possibly be a Neutrino. Does this mean we could get Triceratons and Neutrinos in Season 3?

THIS EPISODE WAS AMAZING!!!

That final battle with the Turtles and Tiger Claw was just brilliant. Love how every character played a role in this and Karai is now one of my favourite characters!

Tiger Claw is a f#cking BADASS, he took on the entire DIMENSION!

I was never aware that people viewed Karai in such a way. IMO, she's always fought as her own warrior and I personally have never thought of her as being around just to be a "love interest" for Leo just like I don't feel April is around just as a "love interest" for Donny or Casey...but I admit to finding Leo possibly having a crush on Karai cute, just like I find Donny's crush on April humorous and "sadorable". I've liked Karai since she first debuted in the show because she was interesting.

As Leo sensed, there was good in her, and that made things interesting for me. She did seem to genuinely want to be friends with Leo until she felt betrayed by them.

I dunno, like I said, I just found her interesting in general given her background and that she could fight well was an added bonus. I'm surprised people actually felt the way you described about her character.

I personally don't know why people were surprised...

To me this is how it came off:

Translation: Oh crap...people saw them.

But it didn't matter to me, I knew it was coming and the episode was still awesome, it didn't kill the suspense for me at all.

So this episode takes place about 3 years into the past?

On one of the flashback picture scenes of Dimension X, it looks like that there is a Triceraton standing on and guiding a large creature that is charging into the center of the group. Just wanted to point that out

Did the scene at the meat factory with all the grinders remind anyone else of Mortal Kombat? Its scenes like those that remind you the hinted darkness of the series.

Imagine if Karai got splattered Mortal Kombat style?

Wow, this was an amazing, episode, it was brilliant. Loved the Tiger Claw vs Casey fight and the final fight with the Turtles was amazing. Mikey was brilliant in this episode he had some great ideas, he's not dumb all the time. Tiger Claw was such a badass he seems to be going insane.

Amazing moments

Loved how they showed in a flashback on how Tiger Claw returns.
80s turtles cameo (did Tiger Claw destroy them).
Return of Murakami, was wondering when he was coming back.
Poor Murakami getting attacked again.
Poor Irma getting dumped again (at first I thought she was going to get involved but no she didn't, are Nick teasing us).
Kirby's back, love the photo on his phone and the date says May 19th.
Tiger Claw vs Casey was epic, poor Casey got thrown off the roof, Ouch!
Mikey dancing on the ice was funny, then he did the Moonwalk - MICHAEL JACKSON reference.
Mikey having a great idea in tracking Casey.
Karai wanting to talk to April about she now believes Splinter is her father, was skeptical about this.
Leo taking Karai back to the lair, bit of a stupid move by Leo.
Karai pressing the tracking device - I actually shouted out, Karai you bitch, WTF you done!
Karai finally knows the truth and knows that pressing tracking device was a big mistake and knows that she has to lead him away. Love the emotion in Karai's voice, Kelly Hu did an awsome job.
Mikey having another great idea, leading Tiger Claw to the meat locker.
The turtles in stealth mode, attacking Tiger Claw was epic and loved how it was so quiet which made it intence moment.
The final fight was epic and badass and with the saw turned on it made more intence.
Karai saving the turtles lives by fighting Tiger Claw was great and wow her head was so close to that saw.
Poor Mikey, he looked hurt bad, Raph holding him was adorable.
Raph still not trusting Karai.
Shredder finding out that Karai was helping the turtles and put's her in a prison, (where have I seen this before, oh yeah! the "Fake Storyboards". Shredder is such a bastard.

I loved that the episode ended on a cliffhanger, I can't wait till the next episode, i'm glad that Pizza Face was aired before this episode.

I hope IGN gives the episode over 9.0 if it's under then i've going to find Max and spank him.

I'm glad we saw Kirby again for the first time since being back to normal. Also interesting how beat up Mikey and Casey were.

I actually wish we saw more of the scene where Tiger Claw breaks out of the worm and fights the 80's Turtles.

Most likely it'll only be for an episode or two though. If Karai is mutated I can see her being de-mutated in the finale.
