So I stopped by a different Target to pick up a movie Foot Soldier and an extra Mikey that I was planning to customize. The girl got them out the back for me, but she warned me that there IS a firm street date on them and they may not scan (though I knew that they would). If you encounter the same situation, politely ask the clerk if they could try scanning it. Once it pops up on the register screen, they'll finish the transaction no questions asked.

The Foot Soldier is awesome. I love the design, the paints, the accesories...it could've benefitted from a pair of bicep swivels so it could properly wield its rifle, but it's still very articulated. When they become more plentiful, I plan on army building with them. Shredder flanked by ten Foot Soldiers will make a nice display.

As for the custom, I was planning on dressing up a Battle Shell Mikey with Movie clothes and details but the more I thought about it, the less the idea appealed to me so it was abandoned. I'm selling my extra Mikey, so if you want one for real cheap, check out my thread in the buy/sell forum.

Does anyone happen to know the DPCI # of the Assault Van? The more I study it, the more badly I want it right noe!

make sure to tell them it is a dpci number
make sure to tell them the number CLEARLY
they could call them and ask them to hold them at customer service. but not every employee will honor this request.
i would just take the number, go directly back to the Toys section, ask the first employee you see if they have the item associated with that # and then ask if you can buy some.
Easy.
Don't overthink it!

Both times, I went real early, approached a person holding an inventory gun and politely said "excuse me, I was told you guys have the new Ninja Turtles toys here, but they might be in the back. I have the DPCI number...can you check for me?" Then they tap into their gun and find it. The first time I did it, the clerk brought out an entire case, cut it open, and let me dig through it. The next time I did it, the clerk asked which specific figures I wanted and only brought those ones out.

I used the DPCI #087-060-0461 at 3 of my surrounding Targets and they said the number was for a Transformers figure, not Ninja Turtles and that they were not available. Has anybody else ran into this issue?

You can also call one store, ask for guest service, and have them run the dpci number for all stores in the area.

Not sure if that's the number you gave them but you have a typo on the number in your post. Try this...

HA! I used the same number and had the extra "0" in it. The lady at Target in Joplin, MO was nice enough to check. She realized the error, corrected it and found 48 in the back. Since they were ready to sell and in the system, just not out, she brought up a box, opened it and viola!

Spoiler:

Can't open them right now... but I can't wait!

Was able to find 2 stores that have them, but they both said they are not allowed to sell them until July 6!

Oh man! That sucks!

Different stores though. I do watch what people are working though. The lady I had today helped me out on 1 occasion looking for some Digimon Fusion stuff and another lady helped me on Ranger figures. Then I asked a guy on the Legendary Reds for PR and he sold them to me, but said that they aren't allowed to do that.

Luckily the lady that helped me the first time was there again, so I thought I'd give it a shot. Had if of been the guy... I wouldn't have bothered. No sense in pestering the workers... especially if you've asked them before and they said no. It is true though... be really nice, and try to talk to different ones to see who will do what.

It all really depends on the store and the employee. Find someone young. That always works best for me. I took the shipping case and all. No one batted an eyelash.

I was always going to get these figures regardless. I am not going to ridicule the movie as I havent seen it, and Im quite excited for it. I did like the trailer for it.
The Turtles have evolved and mutated into numerous styles over the years. Most people hate the live action TV show, but it still had some fun elements in there.

Anyway. I watched the 1990 movie again as I just got the 1990 movie figures. It's the first time I've watched the movie on blu ray, and the HD imagery is really striking. In other words, you could actually see what was going on !! Great movie.

What i've seen hasn't amazed me or turned me off but I have to watch the movie before I judge it . I don't really like the designs to me they're too complicated like Donnie having glasses and armor and Mikey wearing pants and Leo having bamboo armor and raphs loin clothe . They added way too much stuff I would've perfered them with just elbow and knee pads with maybe a few simple acceries
