If Dominic ends up replacing Biggs as Leo's voice, he'll probably get a lot better over time - I'd imagine it's one of those things where you need to practice a bit to get the pitch and inflections just right. Myself, I can't really tell the difference but that doesn't mean all that much.

I can easily tell the difference and I bet i could pass a blind listening test with 100% accuracy no problem. But I think the voice is a good fit for Nick Leo, meaning that while it doesn't sound identical to Biggs, the overall sound of it feels safely within what Biggs has established him as being like -- the flow of the speech, the cadence, etc. But at the same time it has its own vibe to where it doesn't sound like he's TRYING to emulate Biggs perfectly. The actor is doing their own take in his own way, as he should.

I actually quite liked Dominic as Leo. I can imagine him as a future voice actor for Leo.

I'm pretty bad at picking up on differences between voice actors - tbh I wouldn't even have noticed that Leo's voice had changed between episodes if I wasn't always checking the forums. Blame it on too many years of listening to loud metal music.

I dunno, maybe Biggs is just having some scheduling problems atm and Dominic is filling in for him for X amount of episodes until his schedule clears. Could just be that Biggs is taking a break, but isn't leaving entirely?

If not this is the first time we've ever seen Bebop with no Rocksteady.

Jason Biggs plays a character on that Orange is the New Black series on Netflix.... maybe since they are dragging the series out for an entire year it caused some scheduling conflicts. It is what it is I guess

Orange is the new Black doesn't take up that much of his time. Did you see season 2? I did. Of the 13 hours of show in the season he is in maybe 1 hours worth of scenes. He barely even qualifies as a co-star.

Well, then maybe he's taking time off to be with his son as he wants to spend time with him, or maybe he's been picked up to do a movie. We'll probably never know for sure, and frankly, I'm not going to stress over it. I like Dom and if he has to replace Biggs as Leo, then so be it. I'm fine with it.

So Bebop is the thief? Interesting. Now, will Bebop be a nickname he had as a human (like the original show....I mean come one, realistically we know their names couldn't have been Bebop and Rocksteady for real), or will he be given the name Bebop by Mikey?

This should be interesting. Nice homage to the original series, but I wonder why they decided to use them in the first place. Well, here's hoping that human Bebop is friends with human Rocksteady.

I am loving this Bebop. He looks awesome, skilled, and competent. No lumbering buffoon, and I'm hoping that they keep it that way.

I'm wondering if he got that suit from the Kraang?

Edit: Maybe the name 'Bebop' is what Mikey calls him, if this guy says something "Let's bebop' when he's about to fight the Turtles. Or it could be a nickname he already has, if he likes that style of music.

That totally is J.B. Smoove as Bebop, isn't it!? Excellent! Very happy about that casting choice.

And I definitely noticed that it wasn't Jason Biggs as Leo in that clip, though the voices are similar. It's a good impression, but it's still noticeable.

Dominic is doing a good job and seems like a really nice dude. But... I'd still rather have Biggs in the role if it's possible. His voice brings a certain quality to Leonardo that I don't think anyone else can fully replicate. I'd hate to lose that.

I've noticed fans have started being rude and hateful towards Dominic of all people. Well. Not rude TO him. Because nobody ever says anything directly to the people concerned, it's a load of low life tumblr bitching. But it's out of order. The job was there, permanent or temporary and he took it. He shouldn't be slated for that.

The alternative is scheduling around Jason and that would slow down the show. Which equals longer waits and more hiatuses. And don't anybody here say that you'd rather have more hiatuses because the amount of complaining that goes on whenever there is even just a fortnight break between episodes contradicts that.

It's annoying and yes Jason is perfect as Leo. But there is NOTHING any of us can do about it so you'll just have to suck it up and get on with your lives.

I can't see the first clip either, because I'm out of the US.

Anywho, Bebop looks cool as a human, but I'm still not too sold on his mutated form. He's too scrawny, unless it changes when he actually does mutate.

Dominic as Leo is okay I guess. At least the difference isn't like 1000% obvious like Raph and Donnie's alt voice actors for the OT series. They were awful. It was painful. As a kid, I didn't really take notice of stuff like that. If it was similar or close, I was pretty cool, but when it's completely obvious and bad.... *shudders*

Dominic just has to get used of the role I guess. Before skimming the Jason Biggs thread, I had no idea that he was, well....a douche. I do remember my reaction years ago when I found who would be voicing the four, and when I heard that Jason Biggs was going to voice Leo, I just laughed and cracked jokes. If only Biggs wasn't famous for screwing a pie and being horny 99% of the time. "Hey, what's Leo doing?" "Oh, he said something about polishing his katana." That aside, I really love Biggs' voicework as Leo. I think that's another reason why I like Leo too for this incarnation. His delivery and emotion is really good.

Maybe Jason isn't around because of scheduling conflicts, not because Nick fired him. Seriously, they had to have known he was douchey prior to working on this show and look at what he's famous for: getting off and screwing a pie. ><
