I know that Mikey has a three section staff.. I hope he does in the movie and its not just a toy thing. I cant wait to see the using these weapons.. its been SOO long since we have.. in a live action film anyway
Kind of like Hawkeye's bow in The Avengers. A push of the button gave him multiple choice arrow tips to choose from.

Well if we are being honest most of the CBM suck, at least 70 percent of them.
I just don't see TMNT here, fliping cars and breaking phisycs just isn't their style.
Also you are pro this movie but you are not being an asshole about it, i respect that. (Not saying that you all are assholes, just some of them but there are assholes on both sides)

Well yeah i agree, TMNT hasn't done this in the past, just got finished watching a episode from the 2k3, almost (Almost) makes me wish we were getting a movie more like that, but i'm gonna enjoy this movie, not everyday you get a live action TMNT movie, i really hope they go that route with shredder, atest have him obssesed with japanese folklore,

And thanks, i kinda see where you're coming from.

I could very well be taking in the wrong Superman stories. But what I did see, I didn't find very interesting, because he's just this guy with all of this insane power. We know he's going to win, even if he has to struggle a lot to get there. There isn't anything underdog about Superman. He's just "cool".
I'll give you that. Superman is definitely not an underdog. But we always know the hero is going to win.

If that is your preference is scale, that is your preference.

I just mean that Superman is a unique kind of hero. It's not about whether he can beat the other guy, it's about what he chooses to do with tremendous power. They say absolute power corrupts absolutely, but Superman still believes in freedom and justice. He's humble and kind. It's like, if one man can have all that power and still be good, then there's that much more reason to have hope in humanity. He can't be that with less power.

And we all watched as The Turtles were launched in the air flying up into the sky in the late 80s animated series.

The only far fetched thing in this is the fact that April is driving.

You know, I bet we'll see that in the movie, The Turtle Van chasing after the Big Rig truck.

It's a ****ing truck! There's nothing you can do to explain it...
Your argument that it is a truck did not dissolve my arguments at all. He states in the trailer he has always wanted to do this. So that shows intention to create a mechanical bo staff that could lift a vehicle or heavy objects once the staff is opened. The object being a truck makes no difference. Now if set truck ends up being a unliftable mechanical bo staff truck, then you have a great argument for it being a truck.

But it's a truck, on a stick. Words don't make staff strong, well some do but...

Very True. No need for the Bo and staff to be together. Bo staff if he used it for helping him walk or keep himself up as well as fighting. But I dont think he uses it for walking support ha ha

As if the 1990 movie didn't have some cartoonish aspects.

I really wouldn't sweat it. I'm sure Donnie will explain the bo with some technical mumbo-jumbo. He'll rattle off some nonsense with the word "polymer" in it, and everything will be fine.

I really don't see what the big deal is. We don't know how Donnie's bo is rigged up, but I'm guessing probably some kind of spring loaded metal. A carjack can lift a car so why wouldn't his bo be able to?

The car is already going down a bumpy slope so I don't think it'd take much to launch it into the air. And a lot of people are saying he flips the car, but that's an exaggeration.

Also, it's pretty ****ing cool. I love the idea of the turtles using their shells as sleds.

Yeah! One clip looks like Michelangelo may be launching off a box truck with his rocket board. I wonder if the reason we only see the other three turtles on their shells is because he's snowboarding.

Ohh hadn't thought of that, that clip does appear to be on the slope. That would make the scene even cooler maybe Donnie adjusted the board so the wheels come off and he can snowboard with it.

Could be something he made up on the fly using some of the gadgets found at the lab that they are taken to, we've seen the pictures and gifs of Raph with all his brothers weapons on him and the bo is black and this thing he launches the car up with is metal.

We haven't seen the entire scene to really say if he flipped the car or if he just delayed it or if it'll flip on its side and crash. The metal bo could possibly retract down and and up again and go through the engine block disabling it.

I mean, why stop there? Katanas, what a lame weapon, chainsaw katanas, now we are talking. Raph's Sais shoot lasers now, ofcourse! Throw a couple of machineguns on that bo staff of Donnies, Mikey can keep nunchacks, because those are awesome...
