Could have been nice if they decided to play it as showing Donnie still attracted to April no matter what body she's in.

Well, that would mean being attached to Casey, another guy. Now, I have no problem with gay people, but having that in a kid show might stir up controversy.

It'd only be controversial because then parents might have to explain to their children that *gasp* non-het people exist! And as we all know, acknowledging/normalising their existence will lead to explicit conversations about teh sexx, and the decay of modern society as we know it.

Anyone ever notice how there's no expectation of "having straight couples in kids shows = explanation of how sex works", but it doesn't work that way for all other potential pairings? Yeah...

Well if Donnie starts hitting on Casey as April, we will know that will be played up for laughs. Though I find humor like that to be rather homophobic.

Then again Donnie has been known to read subtle differences in Leo from time to time. So it is possible he could maybe recognize some of April's mannerisms in Casey and realize April and Casey have switched bodies

Regardless, showing Donnie being in love with April as a person rather than a gender is not something that I see them doing anyway, so I suppose it's not worth arguing about with too much vigour! Would've just been a nice move to potentially de-creepify Donnie a bit, IMO.

I'm kinda bummed how they did it, they're not really swapped "minds", just voices. I was hoping they would make it less noticeable that it happened.

I wanted to see Sean Astin talk like a Kraang and Nolan North talk like a normal person.

I do hope they put detail into the little things with Casey and April, like their posture and what not. If they're just standing how those bodies always do, than it won't be that interesting IMO.

This is why I'm terrible at watching shows episode by episode. I'm way too impatient to wait a week between episodes. Every other show I like, I just wait for it to come out on dvd and then marathon it. Every show... except this one. I need my fix. Curse you Cipes!

Oh they've swapped minds. Generally in shows when a person swaps minds they swap voices to an extent so the viewer would be able to recognize the person who is doing the voice rather then saying "Why is that Kraang talking like a normal person?"
