Worst Trailer I've seen yet for Gaurdians of the Galaxy...

Still excited for the Movie but that Trailer showcased none of the wit, fun or adventurous tone we've seen from the movie already!

I gotta admit that trailer almost made me lose interest.
But I"ll probably still go and see it though.

It's the first trailer that didn't make the movie look like a joke. It actually presents the scenario as if something is at stake.

I didn't think the movie looked like a joke...and it already DID present something at stake (the entire galaxy actually) while having fun with it.

This new trailer just had no fun while showing lots of cliche dialogue.

That was probably my favorite trailer so far. The more Rocket the better. Also love the shot of young Quill in the field.

Thumbs down

I'm even more uninterested in Guardians, just look's boring uninteresting, imo.

Guardians only chance of success, is based on how much they show that Marvel logo. everything i've seen so far hasn't grabbed my attention, even the costumes are boring especially Starlord.

I said presents the scenario as if something is at stake. The last trailer had a very similar collection of footage and dialogue. I'm talking about tone and presentation.

Nothing wrong with one dramatic trailer. They're probably both appropriate.

Seems odd that the only ones who don't like what they see from GOTG are the ones that are so high on PD's Turtles.

Probably just a coincidence.

The new trailer was excellent. And it's smart marketing, I think. They started promotion with the jokes -- which was super effective because it's a bit of an oddball concept and the general public isn't familiar with it -- and then give more and more pieces of substance once people are hooked. It looks like another winner in the Marvel Studios style - lots of big action, big laughs, fun and likable characters, with actual stakes to boot.

I'm even more excited to see it after this trailer, and I was damned excited to begin with.

It is a more serious version than what we have seen before, but it's also geared towards the UK audience, and since the popularity of The Dark Knight there, perhaps the marketing team thinks UK wants a more serious comic book movie.

that trailer completely took a 180 in tone, when compared to the original.

first it was a bunch outlaws, taken in custody, there was wit, banter, and sarcasm (kinda cowboy bebop-ish)...now...

...they have a deep, heroic, destiny, and we're supposed to take Star Lord seriously as a leader, after everything else we've seen from him. this trailer actually made me less interested in the film.

It didn't really, though. It was certainly more serious, but there were still jokes, and his bickering with Rocket wasn't making Star-Lord into a "serious leader" so much as someone who's trying (and failing) to be. He's kind of naive and awestruck, his own teammate is laughing in his face, but he's doing his best and believes in what he's doing. That's damn endearing is what it is.

This seems like it was intended to show that the movie will be funny, but it won't just be funny. That there's more to it than they showed at first.

I personally think tmnt is gonna really hurt gotg at the box office. I expect gotg to open well and drop hard in the 2nd week due to tmnt. Regardless of the turtles size, strength, design, and michael bay ( who I think is the perfect person to bring tmnt back to live action, love him or hate him his movies make money and they are entertaining ) tmnt seems to be as big as it's been in 20 years and we all know were all gonna see it. Not to mention it has a draw for multiple generations of fans just like transformers

I agree. TMNT is going to be like Transformers, it may divide the hardcore fans but it'll be a big, popular summer popcorn movie (unless they really screw it up).

In all honesty tmnt should be a popcorn movie. I think if they did a dark knight like take on it that it wouldn't translate as well. That being said I haven't read all the original darker comics. Maybe I'm in the minority since I didn't think much of tdk or tdkr so I guess it might just be a personal preference
