Jason Biggs recast as Leonardo. Seth Green to replace him - Page 22

Have to admit, I'm kind of sad about this happening too. I'm not a fan of Biggs beyond Turtles, and when the cast for Nick's series was first announced, I was pretty worried about both him and Astin in their roles...but both turned out to be AMAZING at what the characters were for this version of the universe. It's going to be hard to imagine this version of Leo without Biggs as the voice, but I do have confidence that Seth Green can do a pretty good job.

So Jason Biggs tweets inappropriately, who cares?

The REAL reason he is not voicing Leo anymore is his commitment to Orange is the New Black and his new child. OITNB already started filming season 3, which he probably makes a lot more money with.

Voice acting doesn't take a lot of time. Leo only has a few lines per episode. He was fired, he didn't quit.

Voice acting CAN take a while. It ain't just a "get in the booth, say stuff, then get out" kind of deal. There's a LOT of saying the same **** over and over until the director is pleased involved.

That said, there's no way of knowing for certain if he was fired or if he quit unless he's asked directly.

you know i wonder if biggs broke contract taking work on Orange is the New Black...i know some studios have that as a clause..(disney especially)

if that show is made by a competitor studio maybe it was a breach of contract

There are usually 7-10 characters in any given episode. If you count up the lines of an individual character, its usually not that much. Its only we don't notice it because there are 7-10 characters all with different lines in the episode.

Aside from the episodes that heavily focus on a Turtle, its not much. In this last weeks episode how many lines did Mikey have for example? It didn't seem like he said more than 10 lines of dialogue throughout the episode. Fishface probably spoke only 6-7 times.

Someone who visited the studio during a record session back in January said that Jason was fired from the show and Seth agreed to take over during that time.

Wow, that person knew back in January that Biggs was fired and replaced by Seth?

Its hard to believe that news never found its way out of deviantart all this time.

Like i said somewhere else, if Biggs was fired because of the tweets the people hiring have no idea who they are picking because this dude is mega raunchy. So this is just going to repeat again.

Nickelodeon must think Green is going to be more tame than Biggs because they just wrote this on their official Twitter and the official TMNT Twitter yesterday.

It's possible that Seth Green's contract includes behaving a certain way, or the deal is off.

Cubed, you obviously don't know how voice acting works. It does take time, and sometimes they may have to do multiple takes to make sure the lines sound perfect. Same goes with singers and recording music. They may have to do a bunch of takes of the song until it sounds exactly as it should.

I do think it had to do with OITNB because that show became very successful, and he obviously couldn't do both TMNT and OITNB, so he chose OITNB. I don't think it was breach of contract since the show's on Netflix, but as I said before, he's not able to do both at the same time and manage them, so he chose the show that's giving him more success, and that's fine by me. Seth will work for Leo and do a good job. He's a good VA.
