20 episodes is not bad, it could have been 13, or none at all.

I would like too know why Biggs was replaced , I find Seth Green an interesting choice though at least we know he will be dependable.

Phew, I'm glad that the S2 finale fiasco is over!

I'll give Seth Green a try, but I'm sure he won't be as good as Biggs.

S4 only has 20 episodes? Meh, I'm sure it'll be good and the episode number won't change a thing.

Really? You've only liked 4 episodes out of this entire season? Wow.

Asking for 200 episodes is a huge request there CyberCubed.

I think the Nick company may be a little wary about how far this Nick story will go (EDIT: in terms of sustainable viewership, thanks Kendamu) because some discouraging signs are that the second season has on average about 0.5 million less viewers for an episode compared to the first season after comparing the viewership numbers between seasons on Wikipedia, and TMNT seems to be around 3rd or 4th place in terms of viewership in Nick's roster with SpongeBob taking the top spot. In addition, the negatively received Out of the Shadows video game didn't help the franchise either.

It indicates that the road to Turtlemania success isn't going to be as easy and as quick as the OT's reception after 18 episodes (in its first two seasons) in creating Turtlemania in 1989, that some Nick executives may have hoped for.

...But there's still hope since a television series typically suffers a sophomoric slump in its second year and there's still a chance to improve the ratings and writing, plus the very crucial 2014 movie as it will be a chance to display TMNT to the adult mainstream which could indirectly bring attention to the Nick series. I can't stress enough the importance of this movie since it's going to help shape the franchise to reveal if TMNT has adult demographic longevity, or if it was momentary fad of the times that will cause TMNT to remain further in the underground comic book world and children's entertainment.

As for the action figures, I'm not too sure about that aspect, so one would have to comment about that.

So before we get too discouraged, we probably might get a better assessment of the direction of the franchise and the Nick show, by the end of this year.

How the story goes largely depends on whether Ciro thinks he's going to get a fifth season.

Yeah , sorry about that. I guess I should clarify on "how far the Nick story will go", and state that in terms of reception and viewership, of how far a sustainable amount of viewership will last, if Nick TMNT is having moderate success currently.

Right. What I meant by that was that Ciro wants to tell his story over five seasons, but can get it done in three. So, I gotta wonder what he has planned just in case it stops at four.

...That would be sad moment for any TMNT series to end after 4 seasons. For me, I'm not going to think too far about that path though.

If TMNT was at least consistently amongst the top 2 shows within Nick's roster, I could have given a little more weight to CyberCubed's hope of 200 episodes and a possibility of 7-8 seasons total for the show.

Meh, Nick seems to be cutting things shorter with action shows these days, I know I compare Legend of Korra with this show a lot but I see a lot of similarities between some times the way Nick treats them. I mean they cut minutes off from Legend of Korra's season three and fours episodes too, that ticked me off

They seemed to have been able to finish the arcs with in the minutes they had from the interviews some how so hopefully this show can do the same

I'm sure we'll get plenty of good episodes, and that's the main thing.

As for the 20 episodes... Hey, it equals to roughly an episode every other week. That wouldn't break my heart..
I know. I keep thinking maybe Leo will say he has an evil monkey in his closet. But honestly, I'm all for Seth doing the role. Didn't he originally audition for the role before Biggs got the part?

I'll admit, I've been worried about ratings from day 1. And if the show drops in terms of ratings by season 4, I hope Nick will still air the episodes, finish the story, and not let this end prematurely like almost every other action cartoon of this decade.

What proof of that do you have? And don't give me that crap about all the other shows having 7 seasons or more.

The proof is that the show is successful. Unless ratings/toy sales take a massive dive in the next year or two, they have no reason to end it so early.

Also there are still new kids getting into the show. 7-8 year olds who never saw Season 1 might have just started watching the show now, and then will see the older episodes as reruns.

The only reason DC and Marvel end their shows at 65 episodes is because they constantly want to make reboots and rebrand stuff. TMNT cartoons go on for 7 seasons+ because they have no reason to end it so soon.

Well Brandon Auman told me on facebook, and I quote "...Season 3 is even better!..." So that's something to look forward to.

He also said in regards to Baxter Fly.

"...Sometimes we just go way over budget and we had to cut his 4-5 lines. Baxter will speak in the next ep, don't worry..."
