I was actually slightly impressed with Splinter. He looks much better in hand. The sculpt is a little soft, but I like the 'look'.

Has anyone talked about Splinters turtle medallion?? I wonder what the significance is. It's a separate removable piece and it seems like they easily could have just, left it off him.

I cut open a Splinter's robe to find that he has waist articulation as well as the leg articulation with mummy wrap sculpting around that area. What's really nice is that the figure actually has some more sculpted fur. I am going to get or make a material robe for this guy as well as a place for the sword.

There was a big display of the a bunch of sizes of the movie turtles. I can tell you not a single one had been touched. The isle with the Nock figures however had a good bit of empty pegs.

I still haven't seen any movie Turtles yet....

I do have Dojo Splinter now, however. I know we're all in movie toy mode, but since this guy is still trickling out, I decided to review him: http://www.thepicreview.com/2014/06/...nter-from.html

I really do like this figure, but I definitely see the weaknesses, too. Still, I always want to pick him up and fiddle around with him. He's been at my desk at my office for about a week and comes home with me every day in my satchel.

In the nick line? I saw a splinter that had red painted eyes. I'm not sure if more are out there, but it's just a paint error.

I believe he's either all jacked up on Mountain Dew or sleep deprived.

With one of those red eyed Splinters you could paint him all black over the brown and have him be a new (and evil) character

Was actually thinking off buying him and painting his eyes all red so he can look mind controlled like in the Rat King episode.

I have yet to come across them. I am sure they will be hitting within the next few weeks. Recently that has been the typical turn around time after Pixel Dan post a review.

I will never knock Donnie's glasses. Sure the nerd aspect of his looks to be played up full force, but as a father of a 3yr old who has worn glasses since he was 18 months old who's fave turtle is Donnie... well let's just say he's very excited to see the movie.

And the first thing he did was ask where his glasses were when he opened him up. lol The second was where he put his 'stick'.

Got my Slash and Rahzar from amazon on Tuesday. I now have all the Nick and 2014 movie basic figs Next up on my purchase list: 2014 Van and some 2014 LEGO sets sometime later this month or July.

After that, I don't know. I may be good on Turtle toys until the next waves.

Nope those are the next wave! But I get the feeling they will be releasing faster than the Newtralizer wave because there are already toy reviewers who were sent review samples.

Maybe by August?

glad you liked it so. i have t admit. it was not easy. at-all. where superglue's involved? it is always a risk. but i managed. the side of his mask is smeared with a lil superglue. when it dries hopefully it wont have white-residue around it so far, no. the mask is coated in super glue, a little bit. doesnt show. had to be careful when i press the handle of the glasses. one smear of a finger print and it all goes to hell.

i used my finger nails. or even a needle to hold it in place for just a few minutes. the brand of superglue dries quickly. again, wasn't easy as the glasses would slip or fall. i was determined not to mess up. thank god the end results were better than i expected.
