Unpopular Opinions

What are your unpopular film/tv opinions?

Examples include movies you like that other people hate, movies yu hate that other people love, sequels better/worse than originals, etc.

The Super Mario Bros movie, to me, is freakin' amazing. I think, had it not been branded a SMB movie, people would agree. On it's own, it's just so weird & awesome.

Oh Slap, it's like you made a thread just for me to air my hipster douchebaggery!

I hated all of Nolan's Batman movies... and I like Batman & Robin.

It's a matter of public record that I love Next Mutation.

I adore Tim Burton's Planet of the Apes, and even worse... I've never watched the originals...

WHAT!!!!! I recommend them. They are campy and fun. My favorite, aside from the original, Escape from (#3) is great....very funny and at the same time action packed and at times sad.

I think there was a topic like this already.

While I wouldn't say they are great movies I do prefer Batman Forever/& Robin over '89/Returns. The first two try to be serious but theres alot of dumb things. The later two seem more in tune with themselves imo.

I liked Godzilla '98, should have been named something else.

I don't think the Transformers movies are just mindless action. The in your-face-action crowds the more serious aspects, that, if were shown separately would be better received.

I like Battlefield Earth. And Nightmare on Elm Street: Part 2. And Daredevil (since I only ever saw the director's cut). And the godawful Dungeons and Dragons movie with Jeremy Irons. I love Alien 3, which everybody else on earth seems to hate.

As a general rule, I don't like CG kids' movies (like Frozen and the endless Shrek sequels). I like Rob Zombie's Halloween better than the original (yeah, I said it). I think The Exorcist is totally overrated. I don't like Wes Craven's New Nightmare.

-I think the Nick TMNT show is terrible
-I think there has'nt been a good Transformers show since TF Animated
-I don't mind John Cena much at all these days
-I liked Torchwood's fourth season.
-I loved Transformers: Armada, if only for the Alexis/Starscream aspects
-I think the New Adventures of He-Man cartoon was one of the best things to come out of the MOTU franchise
-The Avengers, and most Marvel movies, while enjoyable, are cheesy, badly written, and highly overrated.
-Agents of SHIELD does not improve all that much near the end of the first season and is still woefully acted and underwritten.

Neon Genesis Evangelion, One Piece, and Attack on Titan are overhyped, overrated, and mediocre at best.

That movie is pretty good. Also I've said it before, but the Speed Racer movie is great.

Ain't there a thread about movies you hate that everyone else loves or something?

Anyway, some movies I hate that most people seem to love: Napoleon Dynamite, pretty much anything with Will Ferrell, The Hangover movies...

Since Zarious mentioned Cena, I like Cena, I hate Daniel Bryan.

I'm sure I can think of more later on.

- I like the Star Wars Prequels, Superman Returns, The Matrix Reloaded, and the Fourth Season of Angel.

- I think Shingeki No Kyujin (Attack on Titan) is a good, but MASSIVELY overrated anime.

- Juno is one of my favorite films.

- Darryl Dixon is the second best character on The Walking Dead.

- I don't think the 1998 Godzilla is as bad as people make it out to be.

- I Think Tim Burton's Charlie and the Chocolate Factory is an underrated movie.

- I think Russell Crowe is fantastic in Les Misérablés.

- Monsters University is highly underrated.

The transformers movies aren't anywhere near as bad as everyone makes them out to be.

My thoughts exactly. They're repetitive and boated, but certainly not the worst movies ever made.
