The most recent episode couldn't have been the finale. There is still the Kraang Invasion storyline to continue with.

They promised us a one-hour special containing an '87 TMNT appearance in Season 2. Wormquake was it.

I think we all just assumed it was end of season. I was surprised they did it so early on.

But isn't there going to be another OT appearance? I think I remember Rob Paulsen saying that Nick Donatello and OT Raph would talk to each other, and that didn't happen in "Manhattan Projektet"

I know that some don't want them to interact or for that crossover to happen, but I only want to to see Nick Donnie and OT Raph communicate. They're both snarky smart-asses, I want to see them outsnark one another. lol

I seem to recall someone from the staff saying Wormquake was all we are getting in terms of a crossover (and I hope that's true. we don't need more turtles forever type stuff IMO)

I bet they will hold it till around the movie premiere. Sometime in Aug, hard to say when in Aug. Obviously the film is Aug 8th, so they may begin airing on Aug 3rd to build a little hype for the movie. Though even if they held the eps until after the film premier, that could give the ratings a boost. in the 2nd, 3rd or 4th week of august.

Just hope we aren't waiting till September.

ah well, I'll go see Guardians of the Galaxy on July 31st and save some money for October, read reviews online in the meantime.

And if it happens in season 3 then that would be cool, too. I'm not saying we should get something exactly like Turtles Forever, but I do think it would be cool to have some semblance of communication between the OT and the Nick Turtles.

He did say that, but I think he may have been mistaken. Or maybe they tried having them talking to each other but it didn't work and they had to cut it.

It's tricky having 2D and 3D characters onscreen together, in the same location. It can look really naff if not done properly.

I don't want any new Turtles Forever or even a 'crossover.' Too much of universe destroying meta crap that went on in that movie permanently destroyed any desire for that. No offense, but what is the appeal of that anyway? The movie outright said their whole existence, life and history revolves around a singular comic world and that if this all holy relic gets destroyed then everything they know and love simply gets erased, as if they meant nothing. That their entire existence is ultimately not real and never will be real, even though they don't know it. But this Twilight Zone level of existence gets overlooked because hey, they showed OT.

I'd rather have like they used to have, where they traveled to different dimensions and just explored, but they didn't try to make a meta statement or use it to be universe destroying. The latter just feels so depressing.
