He reminded me to a character from Spoderman: Kraven's Last Hunt, called Vermin:
![]() He is kind of a rat-dude too, and lives in the sewers, got red eyes, pointy ears, sharp teeth, rat-like claws... kinda similar. But yeap, those features are the ones of many vampire designs, Castlevania also has characters like that: ![]() He is even named Orlox. |

The Rat King design reminds us of a variety of different characters. The one he reminded me of was The Entity of Atlantis in the 2003 cartoon.

RK reminded me of The Master from Buffy the Vampire Slayer, who was himself based on Count Orlok, so I guess everything's connected.

I think the Rat King Reminds me of the......
Spoiler:
The more I think about it, the more I see it coming. I would love to see Leo get a little revenge!

This is my new favorite IDW issue: i loved the RK design, the script, pacing and connections to Kitsune. My absolute favorite part, though, was the reference RK made to the elders and their chess game for the world -- for me it clearly referenced THE PANTHEON idea from Tales Volume 2 (#35) and I am really excited to see that explored!

This is my favorite version of the Rat King!
A very interesting issue. I don't understand RK's ability though. He mentioned that he'll be forgotten. It seems he erased himself from Leo's and Splinter's memories. They also forgot how Splinter's injury happened. Yet Leo remembers the turning weakness to strength part. |

I'm rooting for Pai Doth Noor & Cudley The Cowlick.
But I'll tell ya this, if they don't use all of this mystical stuff as a means to crossover with the Mirage universe at some point, I will be disappointed.

Maybe Tang Shen fell in love with Splinter, bore him four children and let them reincarnate into turtles later. As love between Kitsune and Shredder tells us, these higher beeings support their partners.

I wonder if Bishop's origin and hatred will be releated to these anchient beings instead of aliens when he will be introduced... (yeah, I would be surprised if he wouldn't appear)

This stuff with ancient beings has so much potential. Can't wait to see how it all pans out. Rat King does look a little CastleVania-ish. I like it!

I am hoping to see Bishop at some point, but I don't see him coming for a while.

Like with Rat King I remember the IDW gang stating on this message board that Leatherhead would appear as would Agent Bishop when they could be fit in where it made sense.Mondo Gecko was also said to appear before issue #50. We could assume Agent Bishop would appear just before #50 and could already be working in the shadows. He would likely take advantage of the aftermath of the alliance of convinence between Shredder and Krang. Leatherhead and Mondo Gecko are strong candidates for Old Hob's mutant army. I could be wrong on where those three characters and Rat King were mentioned to appear just to wait and see when.Perhaps the IDW dudes can confirm or deny if I have a sketchy or solid memory about that.

If/when Bishop does get his introduction, I hope he's portrayed as a beast of a fighter that can put both heroes and villains to shame in their combined efforts to beat him in an all-out brawl. That was the coolest thing about him in the 4Kids show!
Heck, I'd even like to see him go up against Shredder! |

You know: Interdimensional invasion -> Earth Protection Forces -> Bishop oh and: -> ??????? -> PROFIT Quote:
The other thing that was cool about him is being an anti-villain, as having the intention of protecting all his people, yet doing it with some extreme methods. Funny, that's actually what Krang wants too, except he is on the other side. Bishop being some kind of anchient being (like Rat King or Kitsune), who symphatizes with humanity and tries to protect them, yet still being distant from them enough, to make some fkd up ****, would actually make a lot of sense. Also, Bishop's organization would a good thing later, to introduce more characters, like they could introduce Razorback or Complete Carnage as agents/mercenaries. Well, Razorback already worked to Bishop in Mirage... ...and then we're back at the "Tristan should write TMNT again" part. |
