Wow. Some awesome stuff for sure. So Splinter gets captured and isn't with them when they escape. If Leo's out of commission, he's going to be so upset to learn Splinter's not with them and possibly blame himself. I have a feeling Leo's going to go through an emotional ringer anyway with being beaten up as he will be.

You aren't allowed to record the clips during the panel. If you try, you'll be told by a staff member to stop. Anything that was recorded from previous years was done so against the rules and you shouldn't set expectations by it.

that doesn't seem that big of a change for someone stranded in dimension X for months.....but I guess I kinda expected that, it's not like they were gonna totally change his attitude....

but just figuring out a new thing....and defeating one monster doesn't seem that much different from normal Mikey.

Watching the trailer, (where Mikey says that the Kraang invasion is no big deal), it doesn't look like Mikey's attitude will change and he still be the fun, loving turtle just probably bit more mature and can focus more.

That's all I really want from Mikey XD just for him to focus more (and not ask so many stupid questions)

more carefree...less dumb

I loved Raph 2003 and I agree, he didn't get too many good arcs. I like 2012 Raph, but I've noticed that almost all of his centric episodes are filler with the exception of Slash and Destroy. But do you know what really gets me about this show that I hate?
It's too Donnie centric.
Yes, it's also very Leo centric, but the Leo ones are actually quite interesting, and don't quote me on this, but I'm pretty sure Leo hasn't had a filler episode yet. Donatello's stories, however, usually revolve around him trying to impress April in some way, shape, or form. That romance has brought the series down.

I agree!!

Less romance more story arc for all the turtles!!
(but the way they were talking in the panel...they aren't gonna let up on the love plot any time soon....T^T)

I would agree with this...if you were referring to season 1. Donnie's crush on April has been downplayed a lot. And even though there's supposed to be a love triangle, even that's not played up much, and seems that when it is, it's for a laugh.

It has been downplayed, yes. The biggest problem with season 2 is that the story is SO GOOD but they have way too much filler. But my Donnie-centric statement still stands, and if I'm not mistaken, there's been more Donnie centric episodes than anything else.

I really loved how the original Raph called 2k3 Raph a sell out in TMNT forever, it made mah day more brighter.

Raphael actually needs character development that matters and is unique. I am so tired of his only character development is to make him a mellowed out wuss. I want the bloodthirsty, berserker Raph!
I sent the trailer to a fellow tmnt fan and she even noted that Raph doesnt even speak a word in the teaser. As famous as Sean Astin is, why arent they taking advantage of that?

I bet Raph will have a big part in the finale, ESPECIALLY the Leo one-shot. In the comics and the TV series, Raph flipped the f*ck out when he saw Leo like that. They're probably just not showing us too much of Raph because he's in important scenes.

Donnie might beat himself up about Leo's near death experience. Since he's the one who gets into that argument with Leo before Leo runs off.

I have a feeling Raph will do the same thing here. And would Donnie have enough leadership influence to stop him? It always felt like to me that Raph didn't totally respect Donnie (although I could be wrong) and that he's going to try and push him in ways that he never did with Leo.

That couple of second clip was hands down my favorite part of the presentation. Followed closely by the Dream Beavers who are so creeptastic that I seriously want action figures for them.

Badly.

Also one of just plain Karai would be nice too.
Actually...anything MORE to do with the female characters on the show would be nice. Extra bonus points if that anything involves something other than the objectification April and Karai.

On a more positive note, the poster for this year's signing was awesome, and I'm glad I managed to get my hands on one right before the con closed.

I totally agree with you that Raph needs more episodes and character development. I think Turtle Temper, Slash and Destroy and TGtBaCJ were very good episodes....but I want moooore

But I'm confident that Ciro has a plan, and we will get to the Raph-centric episodes eventually. I think they've done a good job with both Leo and Donnie. In "The ultimate visual history" Brandon Auman is quoted as saying that we will learn where Raph's anger comes from, and why it is related to the scar on his plastron. So that sounds like good stuff

I'm sure Nick will release it soon, but yeah...we saw rough animation for the Dream Beaver episode at the panel.
It looks to be a supremely trippy episode, that I'm very excited for.
