And yet its writing is far superior and mostly holds together while the movie's was terrible and ridden with inconsistencies and really basic plot holes.
Just because something's made primarily for children doesn't mean it can't be enjoyed by adults, or that it can't be written well from objective storytelling standards. And not all children's stories are created equal.
You expect too much from a movie based on fighting talking turtles; stick to your kids show
