Donnie Darko. I've watched it several times and for the life of me, I cannot understand the appeal. I admit, I have a very short attention span when it comes to movies (or, well, anything really) - if it doesn't grab my interest fairly early in, my attention begins to wander shortly thereafter.

But geez, this movie. I actually think I'd rather have Freddy Krueger do my next pap smear than sit through this exercise in navel-gazing torpitude ever again.

I feel the same way about Frozen as you do about Donnie Darko. I mean it is OK but it's not like it is to die for awesome or anything and I don't think it warrants NEAR the fanbase it has. Also Twizzlers are nasty btw. Just sayin'. LOL.

I think I'm one of only five people left on the planet that still hasn't seen Frozen. I am so thoroughly, thoroughly burnt out on CG Pixar-fest movies. Can we please bring back traditional animation? Don Bluth must be turning in his grave, honestly.

It must be really hard for him to roll in his grave considering he's still f*cking alive.

Also, ninety percent of his movies are awful.

Ah, here's one. I didn't hate the first G.I. Joe movie. I probably should, and it's pretty dumb, but I don't hate it. I wasn't dramatically in love with the cartoons or toys though, so I get why people who are more into it than me hated it. Other than the ending where they made an icecap or whatever sink, I didn't have any real problems with it, other than the fact it's dumb on its face.

Guardians of the Galaxy was underwhelming. It had some shining moments, but overall I can't harbor anything above the level of, "Meh" towards it. Slap any other characters as the stars and it could have been any random sci-fi movie of the last 20 years.

I don't like Pulp Fiction or the Kill Bill series and don't get the popularity of either.

I think anyone who spends the majority of their leisure time consuming passive media is a brain dead slob.

Passive media? Do you have an example?

Holy carp, he's still alive? Dude's gotta be getting on in years... Ok, once he dies, he can start rolling in it.

As far as awful... eh, that's probably subjective. Still, sounds like there's at least ten percent that you think are non-awful -- care to share which ones you liked?

Maybe Disney animation would've been a better example, neh?

Minor oversight

The Secret of NIMH...An American Tale, strikeout on everything else? Am I close?

Maybe Rock-a-Doodle, but that's a tougher sell.

Edit: I didn't see your post Cure, I was at least 1/2. I swear it.

I haven't seen it either. I'm also burnt out on CG animation at all, not just in movies, but in cartoons too.

Don Bluth wants to make another traditionally animated movie but can't due to the idea that it "wouldn't make enough money".

^^Rock-a-doodle doo was mildly amusing. And it's a shame they are probably right.
