It's kinda a stretch, but:

Donnie sees/hears whatever makes him jealous, and starts to flip out, argues with Casey, and Leo would be the one to step in, saying how he can't control Aprils feelings or whatever. Then I could see Donnie pulling out the Karai card against Leo, saying how he should know how he feels.

Again kinda a stretch, just something I'd kinda like to see.

As for the plot of this episode:

Donnie and Casey get into a fight, April gets taken while they're fighting, they blame each other.


A cool idea for this episode would be draining Aprils powers. Im sure they'll add something like "it will kill her in the process" but what if this spirit just simply takes her powers away? It'd make April back into an average teenage girl, being no longer of value to the kraang

You know what's probably going to happen. April is going to choose Casey, and then later on down the road, Irma will finally meet the Turtles, and she will probably start to develop a crush on Donny, and Donny returns the gesture, and it will get April all confused and jealous. This crap happens all of the time, from the TV, movies to real life.

And of course I totally agree with you that Donnie needs to accept April's decision, should she choose Casey, and get over it. All I'm trying to say is that such feelings as jealousy don't go away over night and that Donnie shouldn't be put under such pressure. Such things... take time.

I just don't like it because I'd wish the show would be different and have April choose Donny. Casey is a jerk in my opinion. I can't stand the little sh!thead on here. Another reason why I don't like this mirror thing, it's because Splinter won the girl in the end, so what would he know how Donny is feeling? He never felt rejection and the burning hatred to see the woman he loved be in love with someone else. This line of thinking makes no sense to me.

This, not to mention I getting fricking sick and tired of any really good character development episodes going to either Donny or Leo. Mikey in particular would be the biggest departure to have go dark. Heck, maybe he goes dark from spending his time in Dimension x.

I feel the same way. However I'm glad that they are introducing magic into the show. It's been in the OT, 2K3, Archie, Mirage, and the original movies. I'm hoping the ghost will be Tempestra. I know it's not the same origin, but it could work.

Maybe Splinter wished he could have intervened with Oroku Saki when he had the chance. And also Donnie has more to lose, if he becomes obsessive to the point of attacking Casey over who has the right to April's heart. Donnie is not only likely to lose any chance of having April as a significant other and friend, but he would lose the trust and respect he has from his family. And that would be something he would be hard pressed to gain back.

I just don't see it going to that extreme. In the end, it's still a kids TV program. If this was something airing on HBO, I could see it happening, but not on Nick.

To be honest, I would prefer April with Donnie, too. However, April and Casey are the usual pairing, if I'm not mistaken. (I'm only familiar with the nick cartoon so far but I've read through pretty much the whole tmnt wiki, so...)
I'd be more than happy if they break this routine, I just can't see them doing so.

Besides, I fail to see what that has to do with Donnie. Yes, Spinter wouldn't know exactly what his son would be going through, but he has seen what happened to his old friend and what his jealousy did to him. So reminding Donnie of that and telling him what he could end up becoming should be sufficent, too.
And just because Splinter wasn't rejected doesn't mean he can't understand his son. He might not know exactly how hard it can be, but there's something called empathy. Most humans are capable of it.

And besides... Not getting over a girl/boy who rejected you... just isn't healthy.

There is that whole point in the first episode where Splinter is saying that perhaps the Turtles would be more prepared for the surface after another year of training. And Donnie speaks out of turn and says "Hey remember there were two people who were abducted. We don't have a year."

Splinter at first looks irritated that one of his more obedient sons is speaking out against him. But after Donnie's "You weren't there Sensei, you didn't see the way she looked into my eyes..." speech Splinter seems to sense something before turning to look at the picture of his human self with his late wife and daughter.

Was Saki's and Yoshi's duel stemming from Shen? I thought that was just the icing on the cake, because I was under the belief that the rivalry started because Yoshi was besting Saki in the tournaments and shaming Saki. In fact, I don't know how much of a love triangle it would be, because I was under the impression that Shen disliked Saki right away, and always loved Yoshi. That is not the case with April at all. She clearly likes both Donny and Casey, but is probably confused and unsure about Donny while Casey would be the safer bet for her. In the end, it's not going to be up to Donny, but April to follow her heart.

I would assume the only reason why we never got April with the Turtles, or any of the Turtles with a human female in previous movies/cartoons, was because I read that the creator Peter Laird was strictly against any Turtle/human romance. But now, I hate saying this, but now, since he no longer has creative control of the franchise, the new creators are free to follow whatever path they want. Personally, I think they should put their stamp on the franchise and have April end up with Donny. They don't even have to be explicit, the last scene of the entire show could be the entire gang watching a sunset, and we see April holding Donny's hand and resting her head on his shoulder. They could be in the background more, that way it's a bit more subtle.

The Hamato Clan and Foot Clan were rival clans, when the Hamato Clan attacks the Foot Clan Saki was found as an infant by Yoshi's father and for whatever reason took pity on the boy and raised him as part of the Hamato Clan. He and Yoshi grew up together and viewed themselves as brothers. They were rivals in all things, but again that was also a brotherly habit.

Then the two of them meet Tang Shen both fall in love with her. She may have been friends with both of them first, but she ultimately chooses Yoshi as her husband. Oroku Saki could not accept it and felt that his childhood friend had taken the girl he loved away from him.

Around this point Saki learns that he is actually from the Foot Clan so he revives his birth clan and seeks vengeance against Yoshi. Both for taking the love of his life and for killing his real family and lying to him since he was a boy.

We don't fully know about the relationship though. All we know is Saki couldn't accept that Tang Shen had chosen Yoshi and chose to let his jealousy consume him.

Not only that but she's been doing quite a bit of voice acting, and not just as "cameo celebrity guest voice". She's a regular on the US dub of Doraemon and is in whichever that newest "Tales of..." game is.
