This issue. Just wow. I wanted a shark mutant for a long time (One specifically from Archie) but this is just as cool! But, what's up with the Turtles in Time placement? Mikey and Raph were with Slash and Hob, and Donnie was at Harold's, then the annual acted like nothing happend and they went back to the lair, then turtles in time, it's pretty confusing.

I wouldn't be surprised if all this Armaggon love spurs Waltz & co. into writing a transformation into Bludgeon's future... and with Armaggon's capabilities, that "future" could come at any moment.

the real question is just how will they make his re-naming work? Maybe future Bludgeon will have cybernetics replacing an arm-that's-gone... (awful, awful i know.)

I hope that never happens, but instead they'll bring in real Armaggon from the future. They can always turn Hob into Verminator X, because he is the same type of cat, and they can explain it with something easily (like, Stockman turned him into a robot slave in the future like he did with the Flyborgs, for revenge for blowing up Stockgen).
But Bludgeon is a diferent type of shark, with ninja background, while Armaggon was a criminal with some cyber-tech, an exosuit and a time machine. If two Fox characters are okay, they should be okay with two sharks too. (not to mentoin five turtles )

I'd rather have Bludgeon be his own character, to be honest.

How does the melee here match up with the other big fights in this series? How do you compare this to say, Splinter running the gauntlet against Foot soldiers, Alopex, then Shredder himself?

This is probably the best one on one in the series so far.

I wonder where he got the teeth for his necklace.

Until disproven I'm gonna imagine that he was told that shark can regrow their teeth and he just tore them out of himself to test that.

To me Bludgeon is like Shredder Shark from "Worms of Madness."

This beats the brawl in the theater for me. It was so great having villains against villains.

IDW is the best version of TMNT

If they make a TMNT reboot movie retelling the shredder battle/origin, I won't buy a ticket.

It's like how Alopex is not-Ninjara, or at least seems that way sometimes. Then again that's mostly because he's a shark right now. Things might change as we learn more about Bludgeon and he differentiates himself from Armaggon.

I'm not even sure why people like Armaggon so much other than he looked cool. He appears in one TMNTA trilogy, MM #7 and the Merdude miniseries... and a game. He was never a huge part of the TMNTA mythos outside FST.

Yeah, I got it what you mean, but I disagree.
Armaggon wasn't a hammerhead shark, wasn't a ninja, wasn't the apprentice of Shredder, wasn't the minion of someone, wasn't fight with an a axe, and had guns, an exoskeleton and a time machine. He was visually different.

Bludgeon and Armaggon are both sharks. That's it. And Armaggon > Bludgeon.

Alopex is not Ninjara. Maybe a nod at best but she's a unique character. Just like hob is not dreadmon and Woody probably won't be Mondo. Armaggon is not dreadmon and probably won't turn into him. I'm not a fan of the Archie series but I'm personally glad. To my knowledge armaggon was a serious dude, not a hammer head that worked for the shredder. Hammerheads are very stupid sharks btw.
