I thought that the Turtles may have gotten shredded by the hammers in the clock tower the way that clock was ticking toward midnight, so it was a good climax to the episode. Unlike most Season 4 episodes it actually has some continuity with other episodes. There was even a mention of the Rat King nad Leatherhead. The "2 + 2 = 4" was goofy but funny about how upset Shredder was. There was also a shot of lower Manhattan with the former WTC that seemed very faithful to the real thing. The opening scene with common criminals adds variety. Z's full body looks cool reminding me a bit of a grown Gumby. One mystery is why the "II" in the episode when its actually been the third time that the Fly has returned since Enter: The Fly?
Overall: 8/10

I mentioned in my previous post that this is one of the two episode titles that intrigued me the most. "Son of Return of The Fly II". Today, I assume that it is a parody of the various sequls of b-movies and one of those is The Fly(1958 ) which I believe was the first of four and then two more in a reboot in 1986 and its 1989 follow up. The other episode title that left me scartching my head was the series finale "Divide and Conquer". The turtles were not divded to be conquered so it did not make much sense to me to this day. I will probably resurrect that episdoe's thread with that very question later today.

The title is the way it is because Baxter has "returned" three times and Enter: The Fly had him out for revenge from the start anyways, hence the II.

I was glad to see Baxter somehow survived and was in new eps. I was sure he was dead at the end of Bye Bye Fly.

I was thinking about a scene where Baxter grabs a bag of sugar cubes, a rarely, I think there was him spitting acid on the sugar cubes before eating. That's a nod to the Brundlefly from the Fly movie.

Um....Baxter didn't use acid on that sugar: he just ate it with his hands. Which is good, 'cause doing it the fly way woulda been gross.
If it's a homage to any part of Cronenberg's "The Fly", it's the part where Geena Davis's character sees Jeff Goldblum's character loading up his coffee with sugar and it's one of the first clues that something's a little weird.

Well, one Youtube says there's a scene with Baxter spitting on his food to eat.

It's not in the cartoon, that's for sure.

I also imagined if Baxter gets sick and started puking acid all over Channel 6, I'm about to laugh my teeth out.
But sadly, there's no vomit scene in the episodes that features Baxter... at least.

I thought this episode was hilarious! Esp. when Donatello kept saying, "The destruction of other people's property is wrong!" Seems so out of place, but yet so ridiculously funny at the same time, esp. when Raph eventually yells at him to SHUT UP! I also liked how Leo saved them all at the clock tower, and how Vernon kept getting kidnapped instead of April. As others have said, I noticed that Baxter's memory/mind seems to be going bad. He couldn't remember who April was or what she looked like, despite that in the the episode "Return of the Fly", he friggin' kidnapped her! I've seen bits and pieces of the movie "The Fly", and I recall that's what happened (he lost his human side/memory when he mutated into the fly, least eventually he did). The Baxter-Fly episodes imitate this well.

My favorite part of the ep was the on running gag of the destruction of other people's property, especially when Raph got annoyed and shrieked, "SHUTUP!" I made a clip.

Sorta seems like both Baxter (the human) and Baxter (the mutant fly) were the unsung characters in OT TMNT; before his mutation Baxter was just a scientific henchman that got a few episodes in (although I sorta wish a bit more character went into him). Afterwards he mutated, and went 'at large' in a few more episodes and eventually got exiled into Dimension X yet again.
However I still would have like to see both the man and the fly get a little more character development besides being a henchman and a orderling fly. But I guess that might have been all that Stockman ever was.
