As much as I enjoyed the finale I thought it was missing one thing...Jason Biggs. Dominic is doing a decent job of filling in but with this episode being so Leo-centric it would've benefitted from having Biggs.

But I think the line when April says, "You shouldn't talk, it just makes things hurt more." is a telling sign.

Since both April and Donnie pinned the invasion on themselves during the duration of the episode, maybe they will still bond eventually for both know what the other is going through playing the self-blame game and will both want to be there for each other. But obviously still too soon to tell.

This has me wondering. Raphael doesn't know that it was April leading Irma to the lair to begin with that started the ball rolling. If he finds out, you think he's going to start getting pissed at April? Maybe saying things to her that could put him at odds with both Donnie and Casey? Heck, Leonardo is the one who is closest to Splinter, and he did not get to see Splinter getting his tail kicked by Shredder, and he's probably still knocked out and won't wake up till season three, so, when he does wake up, he's going to have the anger of being beaten by The Shredder AND the knowledge that Splinter might be gone. And to add more salt to the injury, Raphael might tell him that he and Casey had their sights on Karai until the invasion started, derailing their focus, so there is a chance that a super angry Leo might lay this blame all on April!

Yeah I was kind of put off by his voice acting.

As much as I can see that he is at least trying, In some scenes it just made me cringe to listen to him.

Nah, EPF was more likely formed due to the previous Kraang Invasion attempt.

Well Jason isn't doing it any more and the sooner you get used to it guys, the better for everyone.

Dominic tried, plus he was always really friendly with fans. Maybe you should concentrate on that and the fact that we've got Seth Green coming next season.

It's certainly better than moping, musing and moaning.

1. Shredder's alive. The foot clan will currently be under the control of Tiger Claw, Rahzar and Fish Face, they'll regroup and wait for Shredder to turn up from his battle with Splinter.

2. Shredder wears a lot of armour - although yeah, croc/gator jaws are immensely strong, that's a bit of an inconsistency. Magic armour. Shredder has magic armour. He'll probably have a few bruises or cracked ribs.

3. He knows he can't trust them. He'll have some sort of backup plan for the inevitable double-cross.

Like Kevin Eastman said, this is definitely the best incarnation of the turtles so far.
Best story, best characters, best cinematography, best action/martial art, etc.

Now on to the stories:
- I like that Casey has no family baggage to carry to the outer city farm. April too, even the turtles. Only themselves as teenagers with no adult guiding them in the wild..
- It looked like Leo was totally sliced into pieces by Shredder's final attack, but turns out he only have a "cracked shell". Teensy nitpick, but eh, cartoon logic.
- Apritello moments. And also eventhough April went on hugging Casey, he doesn't show any kind of anger or resentment.. he's got bigger problems on his mind, poor Donnie.

I liked this episode a lot and I'm really glad Irma isn't gonna be around anymore.

But now they're teasing Bishop, I guess, so they traded one character I dislike for another. Nooooooooooh well.

I was never one of the people who thought the makers of this show hated the 2003 show, but I did not expect the EPF to make a cameo because of the general lack of 2003 influence.

Still, I'm happy to see the EPF return. Maybe we can get Bishop season 3 then?

You know I think this episode alluded to two 2k3 villains:

EPF = Bishop

Casey's Dad = Hun


For those who don't know, Hun is actually Casey's father in the IDW comics. I also wonder if Casey's little sister will wind up being Angel.

I re-watched it too around 1 or so last night. I might do it again some time next week. It's worth a few re-watches. That's for sure. Shredder was such a beast in the finale. I hope there are serious repercussions for him at some point. If Bishop does show up in this series, I hope he goes after Shredder. Earth Protection isn't going to be too happy if they find out about his betrayal of the human race. I wonder if Shredder will have to go into hiding at some point. Or he might figure out a way to frame the turtles.

I am so looking forward to Bishop if he shows up! I was worried that the new show creators resented anything to do with 2k3 so were purposely keeping such stuff out, but it's nice to think that they are not ignoring the previous cartoon, especially considering Bishop was a freaking beast on there.

I'm surprised nobody commented that the Kraang turned apes into humans, essentially touching on the whole evolution mindeset of the world.

So in this series humans didn't evolve from a common ancestor with apes, they literally were mutated from apes. I'm surprised they touched on the evolution vs. religion aspect in a kids show. I wonder if any angry soccer moms will complain.

2. Good point, But how can Shredder have armor that's strong enough to take the beating he took, yet light enough for him to perform martial arts? But that's just a nitpick.

Hm, I found a livestream where I can watch it, but it always ends in the middle of the fight between Turtle Mech and Kraang Prime when Mikey says: "No, it's the Kraang-" End.
Could someone tell me what happens in the last minutes?

Yeah, I'm waiting for that one. I really didn't like the idea that the Kraang are the reason why humans existed myself in this incarnation. They should have just let sleeping dogs lie, if you know what I mean.

Donnie used new yorks power grid to fry kraang primes suit, but also fries the mech. Kraang prime starts crawling at them before Casey hits him with the van. They drive through the city with all its mutations and wreckage and get on the highway with a sign leading to north Hampton, Aprils old family house is up there. Casey says he couldn't find his dad or his sister, April rests her head on his shoulder. Donnie apologized to unconscious Leo sayin he should've listened to him, raph has his arm around Mikey. The scene is incredibly similar to idws comic where they head to Northampton.

Then it shows splinter floating deep in the sewers and then Karai slithers by him, takes him up to the surface and sets him on a ledge, looks at him, nudged him then dives back down: the scene it ends on is splinter laying there

So is NYC permamantly taken over by the Kraang now? I wonder why the U.S. government isn't sending a big army over there, maybe we'll see in Season 3.
