This is a pet peeve of mine but I can't stand it when people (like BlackNerd did in his review) refer to what happened to Leo in this episode as an homage to the 1990 movie or 2k3 series.

It did cause their aim was to surprise, and they 100% succeeded.

But it also shows the tons of plot holes in their little story. So again, I think they failed.

Exactly. I didn't see that twist coming and I loved it. I was never a fan of the Irma character from the OT. I thought this was a great way to bring her character into this universe and have it mean something as opposed to just being an annoying side character (which is what she was prior to the twist).

Honestly I can't believe so many people are this upset about it.

I guess that said something about our demographic.

It's really annoying how anyone could think the show needs to "fix" Irma's twist. It's their story to tell, not anyone else's. Especially fans who would cry and whine over anything.

Well like Irma was someone that they can relate to even though she was a side character. I don't know maybe they were really counting on her meeting the turtles or something. I wonder if they would have still make this much of a deal if April was written to be the normal audience surrogate.

Damn right the Irma thing worked... When she went into transformer mode and they showed a shot of all the Turtles, Splinter, and April's expressions, what viewer wasn't pretty much mirroring them?

As for fixing it, nah... If its the path they decided to take it, so be it. Although I'd be glad for it if the real Irma is still out there, if only for the fact that it's a shame to lose one of the scarce female characters and have what had appeared to be a slowly developing story suddenly cut off.

If she's gone for good, would love then to see another woman become a part of the picture, like April's aunt, esp since her dad is once again 'gone,' and fill that adult female character void.

If a real Irma turns up again... eesh, they're all going to have some PTSD over that girl for a while. The Turtles will NEVER want to meet the real one.

I'm genuinely saddened by the declining ratings on this show.

I mean, there's a Nick TMNT video on YouTube with nearly 20 MILLION views! How does half of that not even translate towards TV Ratings?

Well, so much for Irma. Guy I wouldn't worry abou the rates. The series has a following. TMNT is Playmates number 1 action figures line, scratch that their only action figure line.

I too loved the Irma twist! I don't think she was a big enough character for people to relate to anyway, so making her a Krang was a great idea. The show shouldn't suffer without her there anymore.

Guess he hasn't read the Mirage comics. He has read the IDW comics though, so there's that.

That saddens me too. 20 million views should count for something.

Can't say I've seen how it's actually been going. I can't imagine that releasing these episodes early online is helping anything, if that's affecting it I hope they realize it's partly their own doing and not necessarily a reflection on the number of fans.

Not to mention some children (and busy adults) might more easily catch the Sunday repeat rather than Friday night premieres. As well as cutting it off all summer and maybe losing attention rather than let it and the movie both feed into Turtle mania collectively...

Ratings have become irrelevant in the days of DVR, Tivo, available on demand, ITunes on Demand before TV airing, Amazon on Demand before TV airing, website on demand before TV airing...era.

A show like this makes it more irrelevant when you have the google amount of toys and merchandise available.

I meant it more in terms of just the people watching. I just can't understand why shows like Spongebob have such widespread appeal and TMNT gets put in the crapper...

Guess I shouldn't be surprised seeing how there wasn't a SINGLE promo for the Season 2 Finale!
