a lot of times stores restock based on the area..and even weekly restock wouldnt be affected by sale of one figure.

also remember while walgreens may have the exclusive they are more a pharmacy store than toy store


i work at gamestop, we get daily shipment and you should see the random crap we get vs the actual stuff people want

also right now any non specific specialty store..will be getting christmas stock..(ex khols employee) and even if they have TMNT toys they may not choose to put them out till after halloween

I know how the store/toy game works, I have collected and worked in the toy department enough to know. I appreciate and thank you for the advice. I was just venting a bit of my frustration in trying to find the figures.

I'm underwhelmed by the playmates comic turtles. Maybe it's because I own the Neca bootlegs which feel like a step up.

i try not to let the neca figures overshadow these playmates versions. while i own two of the neca turtles in my honest opinion i think these are an impressive attempt to make their own comic-mirage style turtles.

if they had wrist articulation, i think collectors would sing a different tune. as for the paint, its an easy solution that can be fixed if you are experienced in repainting or giving a black wash over. as i said, wrist articulation and lack of paint aside i will buy the four. but its obvious i've been excited for these since the announcment and first images of these.

i just cannot stand the wait for these...i've waited so long for playmates to make their own. i pray to GOD that playmates will give us a mirage shredder. and judging how well articulated the movie 2014 shredder was, i have hope if they made a mirage shredder that he be just as awesome. maybe even foot ninjas, but who knows?

I'm actually thinking about amputating the hands off of mine and adding a peg so they do get that much needed articulation.
But yeah, the figures are kind of a letdown especially considering all of the bodies are exactly the same. And the head sculpts are barely different. Somebody mentioned that the b&w Raphael has a scar across his nose, therefore making him unique. Well, they all have it. And the cross hatching is pretty much the exact same as the others. The paint is a bummer as well. It can be fixed, but I know I don't want to spend all that time. I made that mistake more than a couple times....

i dunno if this is true, but i am told by a person of DA that the official release date is the September 28th for these figures.

if this is true, i'mma gonna hunt for them after i go to chruch.

At this point, trying to collect more than one toyline is too pricey. I'm considering getting the oversized movie turtles, and then being done with TMNT collecting.

I might consider comic turtles as a gift or on sale, but totally would have to mod and customize.

dont go to chruch until the evening. like 5. will go to target and walmart after. but it seems the comments below that they are popping up. but it makes sense if it did. a new wave of toys always comes out towards the end or the begining of a month.

UPDATE: didn't find jack squat.

I've been hunting for the last 3 weeks and finally I ran into a Mikey and a Leo. That's it. It's enough to make you want to pull your hair out sometimes. I really wish I had more patience because I have no doubt in my mind that these will be all over the place sooner or later......... My life is pretty boring so it's the lame things that make me happy sometimes.

Picked up another newtralizer (which I already lost the knife, ughhhhh). I'm gonna repaint this one the correct way........if I ever get time that is...

I got a Neutralizer today. He's better than I expected.
However.. The best part of this morning was getting my LARP Turtles. These guys are the ones I've wanted since reading about them here, years ago. Ok, it was only a couple of months, but it seemed like forever. Very pleased with them.
I can't pick a favorite as they all look great.
Mikey is definitely the cutest of the bunch whilst Raph harks back to the Forgotten Sewer set.
I'll set these up on the Turtle wall later today, if I can resist ripping them out of their shells, I mean packs!
