Yeah, I know. I loved that fight though, especially with Leatherhead. The Leo one-shot was my favorite fight though for obvious reasons.

I think there was a big hint a few episodes ago in "a Chinatown ghost story". Remember when the ghost guy implied that both Irma and April were unique and had special properties? The exact quote the ghost said was that "You two both exhibit a power I have never encountered", That was a HUGE hint. I was completly confused as to why Irma was considered as special as April, even though April has special Krangg connected powers. Looking back on the episode now it makes complete sense. Both of them had Krangg energy, which is why he used both to create his physical body. Someone actually brought up the Irma theory during that episodes disscusion.
And he was 100% right. That episode is the bigget hint that the Irma we saw wasnt a normal girl |

Wouldn't Kraang being the reason for evolution make April be considered
a superhuman rather a mutant? |

Yeah, I think the Kraang captured Irma and used her likeness to infiltrate the Lair.

I would say it's a pretty safe bet that you're right, Warhorse and Bubbly. Totally forgot about the Kraang not knowing about April until later and I just finished season 1 for the 5th time.

Yep, they just bided their time and waited for the right moment, and it paid off.

But didn't the kraang try to kidnap her in the first episode?

Or maybe there more to Kirby then meets the eye. Maybe he's the one that was a kraang turned human?

Either that, or, he was friends with April's real mom, and swore to the mom to keep April safe. Or, maybe he's working for someone else entirely (Triceratons, the Fugitoid) and is just tyring to keep April away from the kraang so they couldn't perfect their mutagen? And maybe that's another reason he was freaking out, because he failed?

I know this is late but this was a very good season ending two-parter. All of the 1990 movie references and especially Mirage references in this two-parter were great. Casey spray painting himself and April, all of the Leo scenes in the snow fighting The Foot, and leaving New York City for April's upstate home were all good. I do really like when even our heroes seem to lose to the strong villains in t.v. and movies. It did have a little feel of Star Wars: Episode V - The Empire Strikes Back to it which I really liked.
I was surprised but glad that Raph took up for Donnie when Casey asked him if April mentions Casey at all to them. Raph's looking out for his bro. Irma as Kraang Subprime was a very nice twist that I actually didn't see coming. I knew of the hint from two episodes back that there was something different about Irma but I didn't think of a Ch'rell type of moment. Very cool! But did Kraang Subprime already die in this episode? It sure looked like it to me. I did like that it seemed Mikey's trip to Dimension X has carried over into the new episodes. He fought very well to protect an injured Donnie and April as they got split up from Leo. I thought Kraang Prime was more formidable in these episodes than in the past so I liked that too. The Earth Protection Force and their vehicles sure did remind me of events from Aliens vs. Predator: Requiem. Leatherhead helping Splinter in the sewers: Sweet! Leatherhead helping Splinter topside against Shredder: freakin' awesome! I loved how it looked like Leatherhead jumped sideways out of water like he would if he were an actual alligator. (he still looks more like a crocodile though) Leatherhead put a beating on Shredder too! If it weren't for his armor Shredder would have been beat badly. But I did like that even after that, Shredder was still able to defeat this big mutant with his skill. That was pretty impressive. Overall I loved the fight between Leatherhead and Shredder. Shredder one shotting Leo was amazing too. He just went down there and boom, that was it. And Tiger Claw throwing Leo through April's apartment was like, Man! They set it up great too. The turtles were kind of getting up to speed on what everyone had seen or dealt with and then, bang! I loved the ideas that the Nick team had for the Party Wagon. It actually for the first time made sense as to why they would call it that. And Kirby getting mutated again right in front of April's eyes was just crazy! I really liked when the turtles went back to the lair to "grab one thing." It was pretty obvious what they'd take with them but still a very nice moment for each individual. The end with Shredder defeating Splinter was amazing too. I didn't think they'd have him seem to win in a fight with Splinter but I'm glad they did. It was all very 2014 TMNT movie too with the turtles blocked by the bars of the sewer and Shredder lifting Splinter up in defeat like he did. I loved that Raph was so ticked off but then Mikey gave him a hug. The Turtle Mech was a big part of this episode but it just wasn't my thing. I liked that he had a stop sign on his leg which made me think of the stop sign in the sewer lair of the original cartoon. Kraang Prime's admission that The Kraang may even be responsible for accidentally making the human race the way they are was very interesting. I also liked the "Dinosaurman" reference. I know it was probably referencing the Triceratons but it made me think of Gorgonzola which is a win in my book. Also neat that April and Casey helped defeat Kraang Prime at the end too. And it was cool to see Karai save Splinter at the very end as well.

The episode was beautiful!
Twists and excitement. Also I can't be the only one (didn't read rest of the topic yet) who squeed at the Earth Protection Force. PLEASE let their be Bishop! Also, I can't be the only one who thought Subprime Kraang was suppose to be THE Kraang Quote:

I don't think Kirby is evil, or he would have done something to April a long time ago, and wouldn't have begged the Turtles to save her over him. But, I do think he's got a secret he's not sharing.

Yeah, I do think there's more to Kirby than meets the eye, but I don't think he's evil as he wouldn't have lent them his Party Wagon if he was. He just would have destroyed them on sight.
