Yeah, definitely a 'literal over kill' in his blades lol especially foot blades..don't really need teeth and a skull nose on his mask either. But still much better than Shreddertron...maybe a little less on this design and we could have had one scary bad ass Shredder...

With the exception of the human hands, and Raph's nose ring. I am loving these designs. Why didn't we get this instead? Even Shredder looks cool. Just tone down the blades a bit and he would be perfect.

Not bad... could still be a bit beakier if we're going for 'realistic.' Not bad though. Interesting to see the elements in them that did make it in or were already decided on. Agree on the feet though; though they could seriously rake you with those toes, the hands and feet needed to be a matching set.

As others have stated, other than the human hands and feet, these designs are pretty damn solid. Not perfect by any means, but a noticeable step up from what we ended up with.

Josh Nizzi does great stuff. I've always had his site bookmarked. His Transformers stuff is jaw dropping.

Agreed.

If we'd have gotten something I'd have been okay with it.

Splinter looks good and I've always preferred him as a brown rat and having his own weapon like a bow and arrow instead of just using one of Leo's katanas.

One thing I don't care for (and we got in the finished designs) is using their individual masks in other parts. I've always felt it looks okay in animation but in live action it makes them look a bit too cartoonish - that's just me. Other than that the turtles and Splinter are okay with me.

I don't like these anymore than what we got, and I hated that.

Not surprisingly Josh Nizi is one of the people responsible for the over-designed Transformers.

Seems like ol' H'wood is chalk-a-block full of ugly designs these days.

That is a good Splinter, and the Fu Man Shu looks alright compared to what we got in the movie. Concept art Splinter that got featured in the Ult. History book also looks really nice.

The fact that they ignored the good stuff like Splinter and Shredder's designs here just shows these guys are morons.

If they use those Bebop and Rocksteady designs, as well as Krang's, in the sequel that would be great. But it probably won't happen.

The villains look AWESOME. A little similar to movie Splinter, but I think the movie one suffers from mange. This person has some serious talent.

The Turtles... ehhh... not quite feeling it. With comparisons able to be made between art concepts and what the film used, there are elements of the film version I end up preferring a bit more at this point (who'd have thunk). Prefer the wider nose design on movie Leo (and Donnie) and that he looks 'snoutier' at least in profile.

R&B, Krang, Shredder and Splinter looks great. I think that's the Splinter we've seen before, and is in the Ult. history book.

The Turtles are... meh. Do not care for muscle shaped plastrons, still much better then what we got.
