I'm pretty sure it's her skin....it looks just like her comic version..

except...I think Nick has a better headgear for her XD....I guess it could get better...

Of course. Just look at fashion trends in human history. We went all the way from victorian dresses to shorts. Clearly one piece swimsuits are the next step.

You should really wait until you see the actual TMNT 2012 design before you start getting haughty. You're overreacting. It's like looking at 1980's April and getting upset that she had huge breasts and complaining back in 2011 about how she would be skimpy in the new show. It's ridiculous.

As for Renet herself, I'm excited. Karai and April are very level-headed female characters, so I'm hyped up to see a more silly female character. Too many shows believe they need to make the females the 'straight man' and the 'smart character' because they fall into the false thinking that it makes them a 'strong female character'.

Mikey himself proves that concept wrong; you don't need to be smart to be liked. I'm hoping they'll be able to pull off the same with a female character in Renet. I'm hopeful.

eeeh...I just don't like her design in general it's not because she has huge boobs (dat hat and leotard...) I'm glad they are having more girls with different shapes on the show though.

I was looking at the IDW version and her personality is actually growing on me XD it's kinda endearing~

I can't get enough of her. She's so flippin' adorbs.

As for Ross Campbell, absolutely check out his work. He is my fav turtles artist and he just produces primo work. His revamp of Glory is everything I want in rolled into a ****ing banging comic.

She's an annoying bimbo, she better be portrayed as more intelligent if she's coming to Nick. I do enjoy the stories involving her though, just not her herself.

No wonder Savanti wanted to sacrifice her. He even said himself in "Time Travails" that he didn't know how Lord Simultaneous puts up with her.

I like Renet. Bring her in I say. But I hope she's not this extreme departure from the character to the point where the only recognizable thing about her being Renet is her name.

I've already said what I've wanted to say about Renet in the NYCC thread, but we'll see...

Though I hate to admit it, but Renet's IDW design is rather cute. Much more pleasing on the eyes than the usual fare.

Yeah, me too. I loved the 2k3 show, but like you, I'd love to see this girl being given more depth. Outside of 2k3, I don't know much about her, but sounds like she's the same in the comics. I imagine the Nick writers will handle her well. They made Irma's character less goofy and more intelligent. Never mind the fact that she turned out to be a he and he was a villain. But I have no doubts that the writers will put a new spin on Renet.

I read the Mirage comic and she doesn't seem like a memorable character. I can only think how much milk she carries around...them super big breasts.

I'm sure Nick can provide so much more than that. But as Mikey's "love interest". Ugh..well maybe I'll like it, but at the moment I prefer Mikey being just by himself.

Thinking back on how they treated females in this series, I wonder what twisted fate is in store for Renet? Maybe she's actually a guy in a tight leotard!

Has something to with time travel so maybe they'll give her amnesia thus taking all the moments she had with mikey, and even worse she regress back to a having valley girl mentality which rob all the maturity and wisdom that she gain over the years. I think that is what happen in mirage comics so...

The funny thing about Renet is she always goes back in times in weird and different orders. She might already know the Turtles this time because she met them before on a past adventure that didn't happen to them chronologically yet. Likewise when they see her for a second or third time, they might know her but she won't know them because for her it's the first time she met them.

It would be funny to see an adult Renet appear in another ep and call Mikey her hubby and then be like 'oh wait, that didn't happen yet'. I can imagine the jokes and comments coming from that. Donnie can ask her if anything ever happened between him and April and she can like 'uhhh.... no comments?'
