I especially like it when that happened in the 2003 series. She met April and implied that she "showed her...". Ah, but I think it's for the best the adventure they were implying never got adapted into an episode, people would have been pissed.

It's Mikey.... I doubt he'd more than a cerebral reason that Leo and Don's 'she's purdy' approach.

Of course in Mikey's case, Renet could be someone that doesn't put him down and respects him and that could win him over.

If she's her crazy, bubbly self in this one as she was in 2003 (and other versions?), I'm thinking it may be that Mikey is drawn to all that energy and similarity in personality. Those two are going to wear everyone else out.

To be fair, I think Leo seems to have a history of being attracted by a woman that impresses him? If she can duel him evenly toe to toe he's probably smitten. lol If she's also 'perdy' then I guess he's a goner. lol

Mikey is neither Leo nor Donnie. His personality is different from both. It wouldn't bother me personally if he does fall for her by sight or anything, as that's normal in some cases. Some people do fall for others by sight or something about said person draws him/her to said person. If I'm not mistaken, my parents were like this.

My mother said that she was walking to the grocery store with her younger cousin for Ice cream. She decided to walk that day instead of driving him. My father saw my mother, and he said he didn't know what it was about her, but he was just instantly drawn to her and just had to talk to her. They spoke, he asked her out, and the rest is history. Will have been together 40 years next year (married 33 at this point though).

In Donnie's case it seemed to be love at first sight, but he also spent the majority of season 1 trying to impress her while also trying his best to get to know her as a person (hence his trying to find ways to hang with her or share a common interest).

In Leo's case, it seems there was a bit of the love at first sight thing, but I feel that her alluring, mysterious approach, along with her being a martial artist is what truly drew her to him.

Who knows how Mikey will be, but I hope he'll be super adorable! But, I do feel that Renet's treatment of him may draw her to him.

I'm thinking Renet might also be the fun loving type and perhaps the attraction will be somewhat gradual. I mean, Mikey is looking for more human friends. I wonder how long it's going to take Mikey to realize that he's got a thing for her. He might just discover a lot of commonality, then work from there. However, I wouldn't be opposed to the love at first sight thing if it's handled well.

I could see both working actually. I also feel, given Mikey's character, that it'll be gradual.

That aside, I wonder what storyline they'll give to Renet. Will she be around regularly or will she be a reoccurring character?

Hmm, I'm betting she'll be around pretty regularly. Snake said that he heard from Ciro that Armaggon was showing up too, and if they're making him come from the future, it sounds like we'll be seeing some pretty time travel heavy stuff at some point. Renet will probably be very important where that stuff is concerned. Poor kid might even be stuck in or banished to the present this time around.

Ooo, I'd like to see that. Hopefully they'll make Renet a competent character so she could hold her own against the two if need be. I'd love to see Savanti in this show. A Savanti/Armaggon team up? Even better.

Neither of them are bimbos. Mikey is smarter than the Turtles give him credit for, and while Renet did act like a bit of an airhead in the 2K3 series, I don't think she was that stupid. She was more about not wanting to do the chores she was assigned and made mistakes because she was an apprentice. I'm excited for her appearance here and can't wait to see what the crew has in store for her.

She's a time traveler. She kinda HAS to be a recurring character like Leatherhead or Slash, or else what's stopping them from jumping back and forth through time to fix anything that ever went wrong with them. Plus you can't have them jumping through time every episode.
