- The Kraang have been after April since she was born.
- The Kraang were in New York looking for her with the mutagen when Yoshi spied on them in the story from the pilot.
- The mutagen mutated Splinter and The Turtles during the fight.

April is indirectly the reason The Turtles became who they are, so in a interesting roundabout way to the turtles, April is "mom".
If that's why April is their mom, she is also Splinter's mom too.
Then she becomes the turtles and Karai's grandmother, right?

Then by that logic, Leo would have stop having a crush on Karai when he found that she is Splinter's daughter, but that didn't happen now, now did it?

Good episode, though I was really disappointed that they didn't show a heart-to-heart between Mikey and April at the end. I wanted to see her apologize for not trusting his gut feeling; Instead they had him act like a jack-off doing that stupid "I was right." dance. One step forward, two steps back.

Did it?

I don't recall at any point of Season 2 Leo saying he still had "feelings" for Karai in that sense. A lot of their interaction became solely trying to get Karai to realize who her real father was, once he found out.

And we still don't know who Casey's mom is yet, nor do we know if Kirby is April's bioligical father. I just got this sinking suspicion that Casey's artwork back in the city that is referencing him as Luke and April as Leia in a Starwars pose is a little bit of reference in itself.

You joking?

If they go about this route, I highly doubt people are going to back it up. They just might leave the show all together. Apritello is a pretty strong driving force for the show right now, and even Nick is admitting that. I'm pretty sure the writers might try things here and there, but Nick execs are going to make sure that their decisions don't deviate from the fan favorite coupling. Why else would they have had that poll up?

When did the, "And actor who played character in previous incarnation is parent of the character now." thing become standard? Shaggy, The Flash, and now April.

You left out Lois Lane, dude. Teri Hatcher played her mom in Smallville.

Don't you know! Actions speak a thousand words. When a show has only 23 minutes to play, those 30 seconds is worth the thousand words!

The show makes it pretty obvious. His dialogue when rescuing her from Shredder's lair, trying to impress her while dueling Mikey, locking up when she pretends to make a move on him...

I think those moments are worth more than a few words.

Yea, and I don't think there's really anything wrong with it. Unless Splinter has a problem with it. Lol

Anyway, moving on to the episode. It was a lot of fun.

And next to everything from the Season 2 finale. That scene at the end with Leo and April where he tells her to trust him on not giving up hope, while reaching out to her, is one of the most emotional scenes in the show so far.

And to me, solidifies Seth Green as Leonardo, he nails it perfectly.

I really think what confused everyone with Seth Green's voice wasn't actually Seth's voice, it was Leo sounding tired and beaten up. So when Seth came onto the scene we weren't just getting an entirely new voice but also an entirely new look at Leo, causing double the rift.

Now that Leo's recovering and Seth gets to sound more normal, I think it's a great fit.

The crush was obviously still there. In Vengeance he was blushing around her. He also became embarrassed when Mikey hit him with the water balloon and attacked him. It pretty much was a parallel to how Raph embarrassed Donnie in front of April in that "Sadorable" ep. The main difference was that Donnie tried talking to Raph as opposed to Leo who attacked Mikey.

Leo still seemed to have some kind of feelings for Karai even at that point.

I actually liked the episode. At least it wasn't really April's mom.

If it was really her mom after the Krang had experimented on her, that would have been really disturbing.

But it wasn't happily enough. I hope this is the beginning of a new side-story arc where April starts to track down her true mother's whereabouts.

I'm still kinda hoping they reveal that April's mom is a Neutrino. It would explain a lot of her origin.

Nope The one of us thing comes from a 1930's horror movie called Freaks. A lot of people have referenced it over the years, but they're paying homage to the original. Our TMNT crew really know their horror stuff
