I could see Shredder coming back and then being the one who creates Bebop and Rocksteady, After the Turtles defeated him, But it would probably be like the plot of Secret of the Ooze.

Instead of Professor Jordan Perry, Its Baxter Stockman who created new mutants, By tainting the mutagen, and making Bebop and Rocksteady kind of dumb.

As indestructible and super strong as the Turtles are and as big and super strong as Shredder, Bebop and Rocksteady are going to be(if they two are in the movie), Casey will need to just be Superman.

Look at the IDW comic, B&R are huge monsters, almost invincible. While Casey is not a big guy, he is more an athletic student.

Phtt, Shredder's so old the Turtles will prob be stopping him from taking control of his retirement home, not even slowed down at all after breaking a hip in that little...fall.

Anyhow... may have to check out this Earth to Echo movie at some point just to see.

Does make me wonder about Paramount's ideas though. Do bigger, more established directors not want to work for them?

to be fair though, Usual Suspects is on the best crime/ensemble movies I've ever seen, and I wonder if working with such a large cast, and producing a quality product is what steered FOX in his direction for the X-Men.

But, as far as I know since I can't afford comics right now, it's paired down a bit. Sure they're mutants with enhanced strength and various abilities, but it's not to extreme ridiculousness.

It will be extreme ridiculousness in this movie if they're in it. To counteract the Turtles' invulnerability they'll be huge, whole city block leveling monsters.

Probably, cause hes good at directing movies with an ensemble cast

The reason why they choose Dave Green is cause of his experience at making kids movies, Given that Earth to Echo was a family film that has an ET/Goonies vibe.

The only thing I'm looking forward to are some new B&R toys in the movie toyline. Thats if playmates even considers making another wave after how badly the first one performed.

I really hope the movie Bebop and Rocksteady are as Gigantic as the IDW version, They look pretty bad ass, and are a force of nature.

Can't believe some of the mentality going on here. I've seen very little from Dave Green, but he already seems a million times more interesting than Liebesman.

Artistically maybe but he is unknow. He just made one movie so it's hard to know if it's a good idea or not.

Eh, this dude ain't important. They obviously just want a guy who'll work for cheap so they have more money to bring Bebop and Rocksteady to life. Makes sense.

Someone mentioned how Bryan Singer's career "took off" after he did X-Men? That's ridiculous. He'd been famous for five years for doing "The Usual Suspects" and "Apt Pupil". "Usual Suspects" was nominated for a ton of Awards. It won Oscars. THAT made his career. His career took off with NERDS after he did "X-Men". He was considered to be "slumming it" by working on a comic book movie, until it made a bunch of money, is what actually happened. And truthfully, his catalog since X-Men 2 hasn't really set the world on fire, either, until just recently.

Just to put things in their proper perspective. Those movies didn't so much "make him", as they made him really popular with geeks while making sure he'd never come within sniffing distance of an Oscar for another twenty years. Just sayin'.

Is the guy at least able to do/put together a film that retains a solid story without gaping plot holes, conflicting details, and lackluster explanations?

Getting someone who can manage that is half the battle won... lol

No one here has apparently seen his only feature length film so we don't know.

Anyway it was a small budget not anything comparable to a big budget-toy seller-blockbuster.

Which also isn't good. There's no guarantee he's even capable of handling something like this.

13 million dollar found footage kids movie and...nothing else. Some short films.

This wreaks of yes man hiring.

Well, I guess we'll just have to base it on the fridge short film then, which seems like they are going to go for a total kids movie but make it 'cool' somehow...pun not intended

Well if the company is eying him because they are after someone they think will be putty in their hands, then up to fans maybe to remain vocal I guess... If he's a decent enough guy with any potential, I hope the company isn't just looking for a sacrificial lamb.
