Eh, so many have no room to judge anymore though, most everyone's got their thing these days. And those that don't must be pretty boring people.

If anyone assumes I want to emulate the Turtles, so be it. They have some good qualities worth being inspired by and in some of those ways they might be right.

Definitely some zombie geeks in my household, who enjoy that fantasy of fighting zombies in some apocalyptic future and some of their weapon interest (guns of course... sister also has bow and arrow, crossbow) over the past number of years has, for fun, included the zombie thing.... they've got noooo room to talk, none at all.

Where as for me, I've considered martial arts, might give it a go, but haven't yet. Have always loved bladed weapons, but don't own much yet and no swords. A pretty katana would be amazing to have, but in my mind I view that as something to earn the right to allow myself own if I've learned how to handle such a thing properly first. If that makes me out to be wanting to be like them, so be it.

Just don't be like Irma. That would be scary.

Yeah, he's still funny to me. Nobody has ever acted like that toward me even though I'm a Turtles fan, so not all non-geeks act that way as you claim they do. Or maybe it's just that I haven't run into them. And even if people think this way about me, who cares? I'm not going to be bothered by it. Tim's awesome, and I do hope we see more of him and have him get unfrozen.

As for Irma, I could care less. She wasn't in that many episodes anyway, and I hated her talking about rats.

No, no, that's definitely how "normal" people look at people who self-identify as "TMNT Fans". It's not as funny when you realize you're the one being mocked. Makes you wonder why the show "went there". But then, for some reason, a LOT of modern TMNT media seems to be aimed at taking the piss out of its own audience, and I think some people just aren't perceptive to the fact they're being "worked". It's called "ribbing on the square", when you make fun of someone right to their face, but you do it in a way that's kind of clever and it goes right over their heads, and if you do it right you can make them think you're even being complimentary.

And of course nobody is ever going to walk up to a grown person and tease them out loud for wearing a TMNT shirt, nor would they for wearing a Mario or Avengers or CM Punk shirt. But make no mistake, they do, they just do it in their head like a civil adult is supposed to do. It's good to not care. It's good to be secure enough in oneself to openly proclaim your love for something.

So long as that person is not delusional, and they have enough self-awareness to know that Yes, everyone is secretly mocking you.

That's not a "source", that's a screencap of text that any idiot with a computer could have faked. Where is this supposed interview?

I searched for the text itself & it brought me to some kid on the Nick message boards writing it, without any actual source for the interview. I didn't see a single fan suggest she should be a Kraang & I live on the internet looking up TMNT stuff. So I call bullsh*t.

Exactly, and even if a bunch of fans wanted her to be Kraang instead of human, it's unlikely a show would change something like that just because fans want it.
