I'm with you, Net - I keep my legs covered. Those suckas haven't seen the sun for years; if I unveiled their fish-belly-whiteness in daylight, people would be blinded, moths would start bumping into me... it'd be chaos.

Metalwolf, Leo's started a group for people who need to chat about depression/emotional stuff if you ever need a place to vent.

I haven't worn jeans since I was 12; I hate wearing them for whatever reason.

Aw, I wish I could wear basketball shorts all year round. Since I'm doing the teacher thing, I have to wear slacks. You can't wear shirts with pics on them or anything. Makes me sad. It reminds me of that one Simpsons episode from season 7 where every kid has to wear school uniforms due to Bart showing off an old MAD Magazine slogan and they begin to lose themselves. ha... ho?

This one's a twofer.

First gear-grind: Women who are only interested in me because they're on the rebound or because they're bored with their lives and have something that they want to cross off their bucket list. Seriously man, two in as many days. god forbid someone actually be interested in me for me - why be into someone for who they are when you can just use them as fantasy material to bolster your sagging ego, or to spice up your mundane little life? RRRRGH.

Second gear-grind: Inconsiderate doucheknuckle neighbours. Y'all remember I had a neighbour from hell a while back - well, he got evicted but now another one's moved in. This one has two enormous cars (well, one's a van and the other is a 4x4 that he uses for god knows what) which are parked in visitor's parking at all times (and we only have two visitor's parking spots). He can't put them in his garage because it's full of tools and crap, as well as an obnoxiously loud dirtbike which he revvs up ever Sunday.

But why stop there? He also has a great big metal trailer which lives on the lawn in front of the apartment block... and his mother lives with him, and she also has a 4x4 which is parked on the other side of the front of the apartment block. This means that it's a constant struggle to put the bins out for collection every week (not to mention, he NEVER puts the bins out).

He never closes the gate to his apartment quietly - he slams it every single time. And this happens at least 10 times a day over the weekend, because he spends all weekend, every weekend, walking between his apartment and the garage so that he can spend them playing with his cars and welding things. Which is annoying because the bae works nights on the weekends and needs to sleep, and I usually catch up on a few hours over the weekend as well (because I have to get up at 5.30am Monday to Friday, but hey, god forbid I get to have a nap)... only to be woken up by the sound of him slamming the gate for the umpteenth time (and usually his screen door as well, because if you're going to be an annoying, inconsiderate f*ckhat, why do it by halves, right? He also plays pseudo-mechanic every afternoon once he's home from work, which means he's constantly hanging out in the driveway when I get home doing car stuff or welding things or whatever, often with a passel of his idiot friends just standing around drinking beer and watching (is this what passes for entertainment amongst idiots????). He leaves screws and junk all over guest parking and in the driveway. He spraypaints stuff in the driveway and doesn't put down newspaper, so now we've got this big silver patch in the driveway. He takes his 4x4 off-roading on the weekend, brings it back covered in mud, then washes it in the driveway and doesn't hose down the driveway afterwards (because he can spend half an hour washing his car but taking an extra ten minutes to do that is just too damn hard, apparently), so the driveway is just full of dirt, which then turns into mud when it rains.

And he throws cigarette butts into my front garden - and I know he's doing it deliberately, because there are two possible gardens that he could throw them into: one on the left and one on the right. The one on the right belongs to another person in the complex who he's friends with, and he only throws them on the left, which is my side. And I'm damned if I'm going to pick them up.

And he flat-out ignored me when I smiled and said hello to him a while back (because despite the fact that I'm a foul-mouthed little git online, I do attempt to be polite to people for the sake of keeping the peace), so now I don't even bother trying to be friendly.

I can't wait til I move later on this year. Humans are the absolute bane of my existence, I swear to god. (Ok, maybe not all of them, but I'm cranky so I'm making broad, sweeping generalizations).

Sounds pretty awful. I've got a neighbor (well, my neighbor's neighbor) who is very much the same. Vehicles all over the street/lawn, loud ass ATV's on Sunday mornings, they get new dogs every few months because the poor things live outside & break free (terrorizing other local animals, mind you, as these are unfortunately the stereotypical kind of pitbulls), all that jazz. Hate 'em. Are you in a position to report them to anyone?

Gear grind: People who hit me up for art services & open with "I don't have much of a budget but..." Go away. You want me to produce a logo for your "business" that you can eternally reproduce & sell, & I should give you work for 75% less than I normally charge? Kiss my ass. Don't ever try to do biz unless you're financially prepared. Getting an estimate is fine, but don't come through looking for handouts & discounts. Work harder, save some money, & make it happen. Not only are you disrespecting me, a guy who's trying to make a living with his craft, you're more or less saying you don't want to invest in yourself. What are you doing?

I think a majority of people here have sh*tty neighbors that they next live to. I have some of those as well. Funny thing that I also live a block away from a cemetery. I wonder if the fates are tempting me..*thinks it over*

Nah.

Ya live a block away from a cemetery? That's awesome. Well uh, I live close to a dollar store! On second thought, that's not so cool because their milk is always expired. Oo, I found a gear grinder.

Nah.

LOL, I recognized that shot instantly! Is that bad?

My only gear-grinder today happens to involve a neighbor as well, as it happens. Namely, our annoying, codependent, obsessive, utterly clueless, uninteresting, and pathetic excuse for an upstairs neighbor. She apparently came over (she invites herself in anytime the door is unlocked) about an hour after I left for work, and stayed ALL EVENING. Even though my hubby tried to tell her he wanted to take a nap because he was tired due to getting sick earlier in the day. So she decided she should stay to keep an eye on him. And wanted to use my phone when I got home, after he told her his was inactive. (Obviously, since I'm tethered to it to use the net, it's not). Fortunately, mine was almost dead, so I had an excuse not to let her use any of my minutes, which I don't get many of, and I know damn well she'd waste them all talking on the phone for forever about absolutely NOTHING. But she was probably the LAST person I wanted to see when I got home, and there she was.....

Nope. That just means you recognized Big Ben. Good for you because you watched House.
B.B. isn't what I should have placed for a dead guy horror movie ref, but I like him anyway despite the fact he was being such an a**hole in the movie.

Well, I'll admit to being a bit of a fan of the House movies. Especially House 2. I LOVED that weird little dog-arpillar critter! And the dead Uncle Jesse clone was so freaking funny, along with seeing Phil from Cheers as an exterminator/adventurer. Ah, great flicks.

Neighbors...

I moved out of a pretty nice place two years ago because of the constant aggravation caused by other tenants. People would fill up my bin, the visitor bays were always full of resident's cars (and that was pretty unbelievable because every unit had two car bays), I woke up without water twice, because some asshole had some taps installed, and the plumber shut of the mains to the whole block of units - nobody told me this was going to happen.

The straw that broke the camels back was when the people in the unit next door to me put up a pergola in their backyard, with a corrugated plastic roof, right under a second floor gutter. The first time it rained, water dripping from the seams in the gutter smashed against the pergola all friggin' night, and they never fixed it. When my lease was up, my landlord tried to up the rent, and I moved the hell out.

People that park in the space next to you then proceed to stare for 5 minutes until you get out. I must admit though, I kinda like inducing Mexican standoffs with those morons.

See, this is exactly what I'm talking about. There is no need for you to antagonize me in this fashion. People need to grow up.
