How is chimera pronounced in the show? It should be "kai-mair-uh" or "kim-air-uh"

It was another "mutant of the week" episode, but in contrast with the others I fully enjoyed this one. Cleverly and well written. In a subtle and good way it felt different from the other episodes.

Loved the many character interactions. From Casey, Raph and Leo at the start, to Raph and the others trying to escape, to Leo and April trying to save the others, this episode was full of it. And I enjoyed every moment.

Characters were well written too, with lines and jokes that actually fit them without being annoying. Really liked this take on Mikey. And it seems there's still a bit of rivalry between Casey and Donnie, which will likely remain between them.

My favorite episode so far this season. It actually re-ignited my interest for this series again. Looking forward to the next episodes.

EDIT: I think I'm finally getting used to Seth's voice for Leo. I enjoyed his voice in this episode.

It was written by Greg Weisman, creator of Gargoyles that's why it was so well written. I hope he writes more episodes.

YEEEES!!! Good news, everyone! (yes, I said it in the Dr. Farnsworth voice) I was able to get to work early today and got to the break room JUST as the credits for Spongebob were rolling and didn't miss a minute. So I don't have to worry about avoiding Tumblr or this forum.

Well, this was a pretty great episode, to be honest. When I read the synopsis about how April had to overcome an obstacle, I thought it'd be a cold or something lame like that. But having her be semi-blind/psychically attached to the chimera was not only clever, but helpful to the plot. Plus, how weird would it be if you were able to do that. You're not technically possessing another body since you're still in your physical body, but it's almost like an out-of-body experience!

Although the chimera (Yeah, I've been saying it wrong, too) is another MotW, it's a pretty creative one. In fact, ALL the MotWs have been pretty clever in design. That's the only thing keeping me from hating them. I love how they made the talons be worm segments and the wings like fish fins. I've always been a sucker for detailed designs in stuff like this.

Leo and April. I love how April was showing a lot of tough love to Leo, even though you know she still thought highly of him. And this really gave Seth Green a chance to perform better as Leo aside from the weak, helpless Leo from the beginning of the season. And when they hugged, I could almost hear THOUSANDS of shippers squeeing their heads off...

All in all, I think this season gets better and better with each passing episode. I can't wait to see what The Spirit Quest will give us and I'm curious as to whether the bad guys from the city are actually THERE or it's part of some weird....vision.

Plus, I can't help but wonder why Donnie is paired off with Tigerclaw. I really thought that Tigerclaw would go against Leo.

Really enjoyed this episode. I was kind of expecting a Ghostbusters reference during the part with the flashcards because it reminded me of that scene with Venkman who was doing the same thing with that geeky dude and the pretty co-ed.

For a Mutant of The Week Episode, this one was done really well and probably is the best of the season so far for me. Seth Green did a great Job, you could hear all the inflections in his voice and his vulnerability as Leo, his voice was deep in the dramatic moments but a higher Calmer 'Leo' voice when normal. I think he finally has Leo and I look forward to seeing where the writers take him and how he plays it.

There was some nice character development for Raph as well, through out Season 3 he has become the unconscious leader of the team and has showed another softer side to him in almost every episode whilst still being 'Raph' if/when he becomes dark Raph it makes it all the more heart breaking. I have to say the little tongue in cheek of Raph commenting on a mutant of the week joke was a nice touch

This episode just had such a nice balance of Comedy, Tension, Vulnerability and even a little darkness (human skeletons a little 2K3ish guys ) the fact that Greg Weisman from Gargoyles was a guest writer on this shows what he could do with the series if given the chance.

Yeah, I was happy with this one, it was an excellent 'final' to the mutant of the week episodes and a great 'transition episode' for Leo to get into the right frame of mind for the Spirit Quests. Can't wait to see more

I think they've exhausted just about every mutant of the week type monster mutant that they possibly can. Especially if you count the ones in Seasons 1-2 where they did a Loch Ness homage, Aliens homage, a ghost, the Pizzaface ep were zombies, the Parascita wasps, etc.

You forgot plants. Infact Snakeweed was the very first mutant monster they had to face and he was a plant. I'm there's something the writers haven't thought of yet. I'm sure there's a good chance we'll see an ice monster, or some winter themed mutant at some point.

Which means they will go back to reuse some of the mutants later.

They weren't kept alive for nothing I guess....

I just hope they go back to more humanoid mutants, and I know where getting some with Bebop and Rocksteady, and Mondo Gecko later on during the season.

Even Rahzar is based on a werewolf. Snakeweed was a plant monster who absorbs humans, Mutagen Man is literally a freak of nature. Cockroach Terminator was literally a bug terminator. We had an evil robot schoolteacher, etc.

There aren't many "animal" mutants aside from Tiger Claw, Bebop/Rocksteady, Fishface and Baxter.

Great episode, love the Leo/April interaction, Raph and Casey being buds, the card part, and April's blind/psychic link thing.

4. Buried Secrets
5. The Croaking
6. Race with the Demon
7. A Foot Too Big.

3dream bevers or in dreams
4buried secrets
5eyes of the chimera
6race with the demon
7a foot too big ( I really dislike this episode one of my least favorite in the series)
