Epic episode! I'm glad they actually adapted parts of the comic. Making the Shredder clones crustaceans was really brilliant, and I'm glad Splinter killed them. They're cool but not really worth bringing back.

Was anyone else worried they were gonna doublemutate Splinter? I didn't want his feral mode to be dragged out, considering all the other conflicts going on, but an Image reference would have been cool.

So Stockman trying to make retromutagen could be foreshadowing that Shredder would eventually learn a certain Turtle is able to create retromutagen.

Tiger Claw should definitely watch his mouth though, he couldn't hang with Splinter so it's a really safe bet that Shredder would whoop his ass.

I have now come to the conclusion that Baxter is a complete @$$hole for teasing Splinter with the cheese. That was just- who DOES that??!! It's like tormenting a dog by letting it think you threw the ball, and watching the poor confused thing try to find it when it's still in your hand. Only this was worse.

Good episode. Really liked seeing the updated OT van.

Loved the Venus picture Raph painted. I wonder what it means...not that I expect Venus but how and why does that name have significance to Raph in the first place?

Maybe I'm over thinking it but it's like...why of all names? I know it's a NM reference but within the show, why?

Splinter did look weird in underwear. Could they have not done something different like a ripped, worn out kimono instead?

The turtles vs. Shredder clones fight was really cool. I wonder why Baxter Stockman made those mutants or clones to begin with.

I decided to Google these, and it was maybe one of the worst ideas I've ever had.

For some reason, this wasn't one of my favorite episodes- I liked the two that came before it better. That being said, it did answer a lot of questions that I know had been bugging a lot of people for a while, and it had a lot of good points.

I, too, really enjoyed the new intro. I think they were wearing their Spirit Quest costumes to hint at how much they've grown since the last time they've been in New York- they're not the same turtles who left, and that needs to be reinforced as the series continues.

When Baxter's attempting to create Retromutagen, I noticed a bunch of dead crabs on his desk. I suspect that he's been testing out the retromutagen on crustaceans, because he needs a retromutagen that works on mutants who have an exoskeleton, or exoskeleton-like properties. The crustaceans mutated instead, and he decided they'd be useful to have around.

It's possible he dressed them all like Shredder as a private "F-You" to the big guy. Shredder was the one who turned him into a fly, after all, and you can just tell that he's not too fond of the boss-man.

I really liked insane Splinter, and how the Kraang had bugged the lair in the event that the Turtles came back, because that's still Shredder's main goal. I'm wondering if maybe the Kraang haven't moved past New York because they sense that, while they can maybe sort of get away with mutating all of New York, the government would send out the really big guns if they tried to go any further. So, they've either just got to be content with just New York, or wait until they can operate on a large enough scale to take over the entire United States/the world.

Loved the opening we're-going-back-holy-sh*t-this-is-scary minutes/didn't care care for much once they got there. Splinter going feral was a nice touch. Dark as f*ck. However it didn't mean much once he's back to normal within minutes. Liked getting a glipmse of what the villains are like when a city is actually taken over (they argue). Felt the most memorable moment was the new intro so this was a big step down after last week for me. Bring on Mondo & B + R!
