Mikey better not name them. It just isn't right if the iconic Bebop and Rocksteady aren't named by Shredder.

I want him to reveal the mutants to the Turtles the same way he did in the original toon with Shredder saying:

"I have my own mutants! Bebop! Rocksteady! Destroy the Turtles!"

If that line is not in the show I will be so sad.

Calling it now, you *will* be so sad.

Seriously, what are the odds *that* particular line will be in the show?

Sorry Cubed

Would be nice, but I can't really see this Shredder coming up with those sorts of names on his own. If he does I'll be curious to see how he goes about that.

Pretty much everything I was going to say has already been said, but I'm glad I'm not the only one who's brain had trouble processing the, "Big S." Took me a good half of the episode to figure out what they were actually saying.

I think I actually enjoyed this episode more than the last one. I'm glad we got to see more of Steranko, because I never realized just how funny he actually was. I think my only beef is that, at least so far, Beebop's snout looks more like that of a hippo than a warthog. Needs to be a little more piggy.

Other than the fact that they'd probably get in the way when finding Karai, I'm wondering if Leo's leaving behind April and Casey didn't have something to do with the state they found Splinter in last episode. It's got to be pretty disturbing to see the fellow who raised you lose that much of his mind, and no one can say for sure that it might not happen again... Especially if something happened to the turtles and they ended up not being able to return. Ergo, Leo leaves the two humans behind to keep an eye on Splinter, in case he starts to lose himself again: April fixed him the last time, so she'd probably be able to do it again, and Casey as the muscle in case anything did go wrong and April needed a distraction while she got ready to shoot her brain waves at him.

I like how Zeck and Steranko spent the entire episode on a plan to avoid getting mutated, only to get mutated at the very end. Obviously Bebop and Rocksteady will be the henchmen of Shredder (it's their place in the franchise), although I suspect they won't be loyal this time around.

... That's confusing to me, why would Shredder name his new henchmen Bebop and Rocksteady of all things? Is he just really into laid back music?

It's more likely Shredder will continue to call them Zeck and Steranko, while the names Bebop and Rocksteady will come from someone else (Mikey most likely) or they pick the names themselves.

For goodness sake....
1. Must everything always be exactly as it was before with you?
2. Doesn't Shredder already have "his own mutants"?

I lost it when Steranko pulled out a gattling gun and started laughing like a maniac. I think that was a nod to Team Fortress 2's Heavy. I hope he does more Heavy-esque things as Rocksteady.

That was why I said he was totally in-character. OT Rocksteady used to do that all the time, just brute force firing, nothing else mattered

Hey guys, really don't know if I'm clutching at straws here, but yesterday I got volume four of the collected "new animated adventures " comic from IDW, and this morning I finished reading issue 16, 'Walkabout', which is about Master Splinter leaving the lair to watch a comet*, as he remembers showing one to his daughter when she was just a baby. As he watches it go by at the end of the issue, we see serpent Karai, watching the same thing from somewhere else in the city and she briefly takes her human form as it goes by, before slithering off again as a snake.
Now it may be a bit of a leap that the show uses lore established in the comic, but I certainly thought it was worth mentioning. And I'd also recommend the new animated adventures comics, they can be fun and make more use of the under-used mutants from the show.

*Disclaimer! : I assume it's a comet but I have no real knowledge of that sort of thing, It could have 'technically' been a meteor or whatever. Not my area of expertise. At all.

Well that was fun.
I re watched last weeks episode first as I really enjoyed it.
This one had s lit going for it. The big entrance of Bebop and Ricksteady being the high point.
I nearly spat out my pizza , laughing when it was mentioned that most of the spy roaches had been eaten.
Overall, a great episode. Loads of fun, action and BB n RS !!! Love it !!

Yeah, I definitely thought of that when Steranko pulled out that gun. I also like how the turtles held their own against shredder a little longer. Overall A Very solid Episode. My only complaint would be that I wish Steranko went out with moredignity. 8.5/10.

Dude the Fred Wolf and IDW versions went by Rocksteady and Bebop before they were ever mutated or affiliated with Shredder, so you're crying over nothing. I literally can't even hear KMR saying such a silly line anyways.

But on the other hand, it will definitely be a face palm moment if Mikey names them. I can't see it making any type of sense, much like how he completely pulled Rahzar out of his ass.

What? The king of pop?

Michael had nothing to do with bebop music. Bop is like Dexter Gordon, Thelonius Monk, stuff like that.

It's mutants like Bebop, Rocksteady and Tigerclaw this show needs, not silly Mutagenman or mutated Karai or Kirby (even mutant versions of Baxter Stockman, Dogpound anf Fishface are pointless).

Didn't Cipes mention at NYCC that Mikey will name them since it's a running gag?

It doesn't bother me if he does, though. With Rahzar... I thought he hust combined "rawr" with "razor" (his claws were sharp and he was scratching the wall or whatever when he did name him).

Anyway, when I get home i'll watch the ep.
