animated~

All I want is a show with

-avatar looking action
-unique but pleasing to the eye looking characters (kinda like Nick TMNT)
-a nice story
-colorful characters that get developed (villains that have reasons to be the way they are)
- some diversity~ good amount of girls....different races.
- I don't want it dark and edgy.....more light-hearted, but willing to get deep and emotional when needed. (like avatar...)
- it would be nice to see all parts of TMNT (the science as well as the spiritual part)

I don't want in your face adult jokes....or gore......or cursing....I want a show everyone can enjoy.

also....... instead of April....I want a younger girl getting to know the turtles....like preteen young.....I don't know why, but I always like it when a spunky little girl gets to be the main human friend (like Sari from Transformers)

April will be a young police detective....that might be at odds with the turtles for some time but later learns to accept them and becomes their ally.

I would love another animated series that looks just like the original cartoon but with a more serious tone. Perhaps, the original arcade game could be used as an inspiration.

I'd like to see something similar to what Wildcat proposed, i.e. with the turtles as kids. I'd want it done in the same animation style as the Nick show, but since it involves the turtles as kids, the tone would probably be something similar to Teen Titans GO! (but hopefully more intelligent and less annoying, because I can't stand that show...).
I'm just curious to see how the turtles became ninjas and adapted to the unconventional world they live in, and came into themselves.

Mhhh i would prefer the good old fashioned animation(without CGI and 3D). The story plots i would design a little bit darker but also with more sarcastic and black humour.
I would show the Turtles a little older as they appear currently and making April an Adult again(not this pre-teen version of the new cartoon).
I also would dig deeper in Krangs history and Dimension X alltogether, also how he came to Earth and allied himself up with Shredder. In the original cartoon they wasted so much potentional in not creating a truly awesome background story to those Utroms. Preferable like in the IDW run where short flashbacks appear now and then etc.

The turtles also would be a bit more mature and not so childish as they are by now.

These are my plans for something like that.

I'd do it as more of a sequel to the old movies. Shredder is dead, Splinter has passed, April and Casey are together with a roughly 20 year old Shadow (who parties with Mike) Wacky **** like time travel is in play. The turtles are older but still pretty isolated. They smoke lots of weed in this version, and Don is more of an Owsley-type character. Mike, a partier jaded and unimpressed with the lame new generation. Raph is... still Raph, and he still hangs out with Casey.

I'd have a few episodes and short arcs at first to establish the world and a few initial side characters, like the Punk Frogs. I guess the first major story arc would be about some kind of extreme Tea Party-style faction. Leo, who in this version would be more political, following the news and everything, would end up getting captured by hunters and end up as their prisoner. As media furor grows over this mutant and the group continues to militarize, the remaining turtles gather their allies (Casey, Punk Frogs, Stevie Wonder, etc) and attack the compound....Meanwhile, Leo's talking with the leader and busting him down psychologically and dismantling his ultra right wing views.

Later arcs would explore the standard "crime in the city", and the return of the foot after decades, with ooze from Fukishima and new mutants (other OG characters adapted)

I want this version to be mercilessly real. No sugarcoating the turtles' lives or lame modern designs. An animated series would be cool, as would a live-action with a decent budget and good practical effects and mutant puppets. If I went the animated route I'd want it to be closer to the Toei episodes from season 1 of the OG. It would also basically be an indictment of how ****** modern culture is, just totally satirising the youth today and getting into real-world issues sort of like the Archie series did a bit.

I think it'd be cool if...

- Kino would return as the main human who is learning how to fight. April would appear as she has known the turtles and Splinter for a long time. She'll reveal how they met to Kino in flashbacks. Casey will appear in later season.

- Kraang would be an Utrom again and Mortu would appear as well. Oroku Saki as the Shredder will be Kraang's apprentice/disciple. For Kraang was once the original Shredder in feudal times. Kraang will act as a crime lord while speaking to his comrades in Dimension X.

- The Foot Clan passed on to Saki as the new Shredder will be sending out groups across the globe to find anyone with martial arts talent especially teenagers. And instead of 2 mutant minions for Shredder, 4 can be used. They'll be Shredder's "mutant" elite guard.

- The mutanimals will appear as well in a later season. Slash and Old Hob will be the first mutanimals to appear in the first season.

- Stockman will start off as the first antagonist in the first season and Shredder will appear in the last episode of the first. Professor Perry or Kurtzman can be the good scientist who'll help the turtles discover more about the mutagen, April's father who was involved too.

I'm still sticking for TMNT to become a REAL anime series.

Basically is eliminate the notion of April having to be an integral part of the Turtles' life. She would be there, but not directly involved, basically a conspiracy theorist blogger who is constantly searching for these creatures roaming the city, so she would be there, but not really.

The primary human interaction would be in the form of Casey Jones,played more like the Elias Koteas version, an older ally moreso than a peer in age, I would also probably utilize the Shadow Jones character as well, to give them a human character in their peer group.

I'd also take away Shredder as the initial protagonist. The Foot would be present, as would Karai and Hun. I would also take some influence from Next Mutation, but only minimally. I would use the characters of the Dragons and Dragonlord, though not with the same origins, instead as ancient beings seeking to reclaim the Earth they think rightfully belongs to them. I'd also introduce the character of Venus, though completely different, she would be one of the Dragons, but not allied with the Dragonlord, the last of her clan. One of the Turtle Dragons (which being a mythical creature in Chinese mythology, allows the Chinese roots to still be present in the character).

Of course other mutants would be present, some familiar, some new, but they won't all tie directly into the goings on of the Turtles. Leatherhead would definitely be a huge part, the savage and smart dichotomy, the clichéd Jekyll and Hyde scenario definitely in play. At least one Triceraton, Zog, will be recurring, his character being shown waking from suspended animation, under the impression he belongs to the great Triceraton Republic, only to find out later that his Republic no longer exists, which could tie into later plot points.

When the Shredder entered as the full on antagonist, it would tie into a PT that ultimately introduces a a fifth regular Turtle team member, a time traveler, the future Michelangelo (similar to his SaiNW appearance), playing a role of harbinger of bad news, and attempting to prevent a grim future.

Hand drawn, fluid animation, teen/adult oriented neo noir. Violent, uncompromising, and dark. Splinters and the turtles selfish motives would be magnified and story lines would have arcs, characterization, and it'd probably last only for a season or two but become a cult classic. (HBO Spawn) I'd prefer it to not have to do the same mirage stories we've seen a dozen times.
