As far as reg covers, I don't know about that. Collectors I know were saying the values would go down if Donatello isn't actually dead. =/ I always hit the comic store for TMNT so I grabbed all three right after work the day they came out.

I'll settle for a 2nd printing...

but down the line I'll search for the 1st printing as the prices go down...

Finally got mine today.and I must say way to go creative team at idw👏👏👏👏 such a fantastic issue..I am even more excited about where this story is going.

I have a pull at my lcs..no,thankfully..They prob don't even know that people are selling the comic online for ridiculous prices..although I will be talking extra special care of this issue

I always get my TMNT issue the week of or the following week...

with the exception of this one...

the hype swept every copy up!

Ugh, that sucks. I mean, it's nice that the comic got so much attention, but it sucks that a lot of that was from collector scalper assholes who don't give a **** about the content.
I left one of the comic collector groups I was in because people just kept bitching that they didn't get enough copies to resell. Ugh.

I typically go to my shop once a month to get my stuff,luckily I'm only getting tmnt and they generally come out a week apart.yeah u didn't see any on the shelves when I went in.

I didnt know anything was special about it. The comic shop owner just pulled me aside this weekend and told me how he has turned many people away who he had never seen before looking for the issue. He said since I am a loyal buyer of the title, he didnt want to sell them the last copy he had that was in my folder. So that was pretty cool. I had no idea it was fetching crazy prices until he told me. Luckily, I only paid like $3.39 for it.

So apparently this issue is going to be getting a 3rd printing at the end of April. Well let's say a third of the people that ordered the book aren't speculators and just casual turtle fans who want to know what's up with the "event." It's a hard task to try and grab new readers on the finale of a four part story, but you know I think that #44 is strong enough that it very well could grab more readers. The fight in New York is brutal but it's almost scary to read because it doesn't feel safe for a minute, and it isn't. The fight in the technodrome is classic turtles teaming up to take down a character that everyone remembers from the original cartoon, and those pages are really satisfying to read.

So, between this issue being sold out and and the next 2 printings combined with the anticipation for #45, (not to mention FCBD around the corner,) I think we may retain some casual people. That's great because frankly, this comic deserves to be read.

Amen. I've been reading since issue 6. I'm glad people are finally seeing what we've all known since the beginning. This series is special.

I jumped in at City Fall. All those cool Dark Leo covers got me. It's been my fav ever since. <3

I can't believe the 2nd Print run was sold out in pre-orders. This is pretty nuts.

Been with this series since the first arc and it's easily my favorite comic going; it has surpassed TMNTA and Mirage as my favorite version of the mythos period. So yeah, I'm all for new readers jumping on.

...but I might need to preorder the next issue if this keeps up.
