My god, the cinematography looks amazing, and that shot with the Star Destroyer is just breathtaking.

I'm guessing that magnets are involved.

How old is Harrisson Ford now? He doesn't really look much older here than the last Indiana Jones movies and that was from years ago now.

I loved the trailer but the highlight for me was seeing BB-8 roll on stage. Amazing.

Also interesting that it's The Resistance vs The First Order now as opposed to the Rebellion vs The Empire.

He's 72. He was 64-65 when The Kingdom of the Crystal Skull came out. You don't really change that much when you reach that age, unless you don't take care of yourself. Which I'm assuming Ford does, for obvious reasons.

Glad I'm not the only one. I was blown away by that little guy.

I felt like a little kid watching this trailer, I am in full Star Wars mode and I'm so excited for this, it feels so umm fresh and nostalgic at the same time.

He's pretty up there. I hope Harrison Ford survives the entire new trilogy. Both in real life and on-screen.

I've been re-watching the trailer a few times, it gives me chills, haven't nostalgia'd this much in a long time. I'm so hyped about Star Wars in general that I almost want to retract my comment about having too many SW movies. There's so many spin-offs that would be so awesome and in different genres, they don't have to follow the Marvel cookie cutter plots because unlike Marvel they're not all superheroes, the SW Universe is far more flexible than Marvel or DC can ever hope to be. Will wait for the inevitable Darth Vader movie too, maybe that movie can finally give us a badass Vader that we heard from int he OT but didn't get in RoTS.

Is there a cliffnotes ofthe SW Celebration announcements? Sadly I don't have the time to watch 7 hours of a stream.

I don't follow Star Wars news that closely so can anyone answer these:

- Is the woman in the trailer Luke's daughter?

- Do Han and Leia have any kids and are they in this film?

I don't think it's been revealed outside of leaked spoilers so if they are from early drafts please put spoilers, I want to remain relatively spoiler free for this movie.

But speculating I assume the woman is a Jedi and likely the daughther of either leia or Luke based on the narrative from RoTJ. Han and Leia had twins in the EU but that got retconned out of existance

Well, just in case here...

Spoiler:
The most popular consensus so far is that the character played by Daisy Ridley is one of Han and Leia's children. Her meeting John Boyata's character and maybe finding Anakin's lightsaber (the one Luke lost on Bespin, and shown in this teaser, possibly being given back to Leia) is what kicks off the plot for the new trilogy. Hence the "you have that power" line from Luke. Boyata's character may also be force sensitive, and Luke may end up training them both due to big bad Sith emerging.

Of course none of this is proven yet because an awful lot of information really is being kept under wraps, and successfully so. I applaud the mechanics at work to keep a lot of potentially plot spoiling information out of the public domain.

So the new movie trilogy is going to star a female lead? That's what it seems to be this time, with the main girl having Luke's role.

Does the actress kind of look like the girl from The Hunger Games to anyone else?

How can it be a narrative from Return of The Jedi? I not remember such a dialogue in the film.

I thought the Star Wars Celebration was going to happen on May 4th. The trailer surprised me to pop up Thursday afternoon.
