In all honesty though, I can't imagine how much different it will be if they become an item. The only honest to god change is Donnie will stop looking so ****ing surprise when April kiss him on the daily basis.

Finally bringing Apritello out in the open, for once and for all I think would not only finally put a stop of Donnie's loopiness, but it would hopefully make Casey a better character other than just being there to try and get into April's pants. And seriously, I don't understand Ciro and co, if they have a hard time writing female characters, then just hire some intern from a local college to do it. There are thousands of them within the area. There are no excuses. Especially considering interns will do the work for free.

Yeah, why not, we've already had April kiss Donnie on the lips, there really isn't anything further than can go into on this show, anything else that could portray between them is certainly more innocent. Simply giving them a closer relationship isn't going to warp child viewers.

If they don't want to carry it on long term, fine... do it for a while and let Donnie lose the love blindness and decide April is a little bit annoying or stifling.

But please no April/Casey though... that's prob the one single thing within TMNT I am bored of.

Afraid I don't follow, sorry, I watch so little tv anymore.

Well I don't think there a trope name for this. Anyway when main protagonist either falls out of his/her crush or just break up (Cause apparently that's too weird for hollywood television) the love interest will then be put on a bus and we, the audience, will never ever hear from him/her ever again.

Unless her name is Rose ****ing Tyler.

As a rule, I don't like female characters being introduced just to be love interests - although some folks feel that is pretty much what they did with Ninjara in the Archie comics, so I guess it's not always a hard-and-fast-rule of "doing that sucks".

That being said, I don't feel the need for each of the Turtles to be paired off into little hetero ships... this isn't Alvin and the Chipmunks.

I'd prefer a gal-pal teamup (since we're getting minimal Raph & Casey buddy time), or a non-het pairing for one of the guys - but that last one sure as sh*t ain't gonna happen given that it's a kids' show (so I'll just have to satisfy myself with shipfic when I need a change of pace ).

I prefer that Raph has a girlfriend in the new series, Could be either Mona Lisa or Ninjara, And just cause it has happened in the comics. They can do this without going overboard with it, But make it subtle.

Raph isn't known to obsessed over females, but you could have it where the female find Raph cute and all, And hes completely oblivious that somebody likes him.

I'd be lying if I didn't say that I like the idea of exploring the emotional territory of the Turtles being in a relationship - that said, I would have very little interest in a show where all 4 of the guys had girlfriends. For a variety of reasons. If I want that kind of thing, I can just go watch Teen Wolf.

With Dregg now confirmed to appear it's clear that the writers prefer to adapt OT characters over other incarnations, so if Raph were to get a love interest or female friend it would no doubt be Mona Lisa.

I say Raph doesn't need a love interest. Mona Lisa is so-so, and really just a filler character anyway. Alopex and Raph would be too much like LeoxKarai, so why go down that road again when something new could be done?

I say a new character should be made for Raph if he HAS to have a love interest, otherwise it's unneeded. Raph already believes he's the handsomest turtle out of his brothers so maybe he could just be the badboy flirt or something like that. Maybe (lol) Renet or one of the other turtles' love interest can have a crush on Raph and he could be the teasing type to his bros and flirt back? I don't know...maybe that's breaking some guy code that I know absolutely nothing about. xD
